Child abduction Amber Alert discontinued, teen found safe

The Rockwall Police Department said they found Kaitlynn Beckworth safe at around 10:30 a.m. Sunday.

ROCKWALL, Texas (KWTX) - A child abduction Amber Alert has been issued for 15-year-old Kaitlynn Beckworth of Rockwall.

The Rockwall Police Department describes Beckworth as a 5′5″ tall white girl with brown hair, blue eyes and weighs 138 pounds. She was last seen wearing blue rimmed glasses, a yellow hoodie and a black shirt.

Beckworth was last seen in the 200 block of Freedom Court in Rockwall, Texas.

She is believed to be in grave or immediate danger.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Rockwall Police Department at 972-772-6703.

She was found in a nearby jurisdiction, according to RPD

It would be fascinating to get an accounting of the details of this case (and any found safe case). What was the supposed grave danger? Did AMBER Alert work? Or were they totally wrong and she was not in any danger and the whole thing was a waste? I further think that if the public is going to get an AMBER Alert they are owed such an accounting. IMO
