Midland police searching for missing woman last seen Wednesday

  • Madeline Molina Pantoja was last seen at 11:00 p.m. at 1711 West Francis Avenue.
  • Midland Police did not provide any clothing description.
  • Her vehicle and phone were found at her apartment.
  • Anyone with information is encouraged to call MPD at 432-685-7108.

What is at 1711 W Francis? It looks like one of those 'show houses' meant for prospective buyers to choose floor plans and see what the apartment looks like. On Google Maps it links to Apartments for Rent in Midland, TX | Palladium Museum Place - Home

I don't think anyone lives there. Does she live nearby? The Park Glen Apartments is the nearest place I can see, located at 2300 Camp Dr. It's the only place I can think of where her car would be at her apt but she could walk to 1711 W Francis and be last seen there.

"Thursday at 1:30 her neighbors heard her arguing with her ex-boyfriend and after that we have not known anything about her." said Urias, who was translating for Roberto Pantoja.

Her phone, purse keys and dog were all left in her apartment, something that is very unlike her.

"She's been a very independent young lady, she gets her stuff paid she's very responsible." said Urias.

"He says absolutely not, they have not let us know anything." said Urias,

The family and others have searched for Madeline around the apartment complex and places in South Midland.

"We've gone to lands over there just empty lots looking, we've had people we don't know searching with their drones, they've sent us videos, pictures of the footage they took. We've had people offer horses to us so that we can search." said Urias.

Oh Boy, not good. I hope she is ok though and just needed a time out.

I hope they raise a lot of money. I can’t imagine what they are going through.

Another sad situation…we see this play out over and over…
Yep, most of us already suspect how it will turn out because it has happened so many times before.
I am so tired of hearing about vibrant, beautiful, contributing members of society being violently taken out by insecure, rage filled, jealous, irresponsible, selfish leaches. IMO.
If this were happening to MEN, politicians would be screaming from the roof tops! IMO!

“I wish I could show her how much she’s loved and how much we want her back,” said Pantoja’s friend, Karen Ramos.

“We finally got into her apartment and her keys were in there, but the door was locked, and he (the boyfriend) was the only one who had a key,” Ramos said.

“People from those apartments have spoken more about things, they heard arguments, not just on her floor…but outside,” said Pantoja’s cousin, Myriam Benavides.
*Another good for nothing boyfriend that’s good for nothing!

I know many of us suspect the ex-bf may be involved, but afaik he hasn't been officially named. Are there any other possible leads? For instance, do we know where Madeline works or other people she hangs out with?

I'm praying this beautiful girl is still alive.

This case was the topic of Nancy Graces podcast today(maybe it’s her show too I am not sure, sorry!) I’m still listening but hopefully this brings eyes to her case.

Her friend who is on the show is incredible!

Note: I do not personally endorse Nancy Grace, just sharing because it is relevant.

When Madeline’s loved ones realized she was missing, family and friends tried to get into her apartment. The door was locked, and her boyfriend was the only one with the key, according to her friend KR. They found her phone, keys, and purse were still in her apartment. Her vehicle was still parked at the apartment complex, too.

"Detectives with the Midland Police Department have been working 24 hours a day using every tool and asset available to locate Madeline and discover the facts leading to her disappearance," MPD said in a press release. MPD reported they were alerted of Pantoja's disappearance in the early morning hours of May 12.

The family of the 21-year-old has so far raised $20,000 in reward money.

MPD asked for public help in locating Pantoja in a Facebook post on Friday, since then the post has been shared over 5,000 times.

Difficult. I have not gleaned much off her FB, same with her Instagram.

She also has a private Instagram Login • Instagram

Something to note is that nearly all of the photos that she published/on social media are flipped horizontally. This is important because she has tattoos on her right arm, so in most photos they appear to be on her left, but it's flipped.

"We're just praying that somebody does the right thing and lets us know where Madeline could possibly be," said Madeline's cousin Ruby Urias. "A tip that will lead us to where she's at and We don't lose faith, we don't lose hope."

Chants of “justice for Madeline,” “we need answers” and “Madi is someone’s daughter” filled the downtown streets as the march went around the Midland Police Department headquarters and the Midland County Courthouse.

The late evening event also included young and older residents with signs that read “We are Madeline,” “Bring Madeline home safe,” “Where is Madeline” and “We are her voice.”

“Our guys have been working day and night since she was reported missing,” Midland Police Department Chief Seth Herman told the Reporter-Telegram on Thursday night via text. “Every asset is being directed towards finding her.”

The protest included a rally on the east side of the Midland Police Department. Speakers included Pantoja’s brother, Robert, who told the Reporter-Telegram afterward that Madeline’s disappearance impacted what we were supposed to be celebrations of Mother’s Day, their brother’s graduation and their mother’s birthday in the past eight days. Robert also said next week is Madeline’s 21stbirthday, “so it's only going to get harder. It's totally going to get harder.”
*so very sad. A hard week coming for them soon.
