Girl abducted near Trade Center

Corpus Christi Police are searching 11-year-old Victoria Sofia Casso. According to police she was abducted tonight around 7:30 at Sacky Park, near the Trade Center. Police are searching for the girl along with the suspect.

CCPD say the suspect is a white man, with brown eyes and brown hair with blonde tips. He was wearing a large gold watch and has pierced ears. He is believed to be driving a black Ford F-150.

CCPD describe the suspect's vehicle is as newer model Black Ford F-150 with chrome side steps. The truck was last seen heading north-bound on Richter. The suspect is believed to be a white male, between 5'11 - 6'04, 220-250 pounds, brown eyes, black hair, black shirt.

There isn't an Amber Alert, although the news stations are tweeting that there is. The license plate isn't known so I don't think it meets the Amber Alert criteria.

I think she goes by the name Sophia as best I can tell from the tweets and FB comments.

Texas Amber Alert: Sophia Casso abducted from Corpus Christi

The incident happened earlier on Friday when Sophia was allegedly taken from the Corpus Christi area, but specific details about the circumstances of her disappearance were not immediately disclosed by police.

Sophia is believed to have been taken in a newer model Black Ford F-150 with chrome side steps. The suspect is described as a white male with black hair and brown eyes, standing 5 feet 11 to 6 feet 4 tall and weighing roughly 220 to 250 pounds. The suspect was last seen wearing a black shirt.

Sophi is described as an 11-year-old female with brown hair with blonde tips, standing 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing 122 pounds. She was last seen wearing a gray tank top, blue jean jacket and blue jeans. Police have not said whether she knows the suspect.

Amber Alert issued for Corpus Christi child

According to the Corpus Christi Police Department, Sophia Casso was last seen wearing a gray tank top, blue jean capris and sandals.

Police are also searching for two unknown white men, one with black hair and brown eyes, wearing a white shirt, blue jeans, and a large gold watch. Police believe the men are connected to her abduction.

The suspect is driving a black newer model, Ford F-150 with an unknown license plate number. They were last seen in Corpus Christi.

Police believe that Casso is in immediate danger.

An Amber alert issued at 10:04 p.m. she was believed to be in grave or immediate danger.


The Amber alert is being disseminated across the state in several cities, including Amarillo, Austin, Brownsville, Corpus Christi, El Paso, Fort Worth, Galveston, Houston, Lubbock, Midland, Odessa, San Angelo and San Antonio. It also is being disseminated in parts of Louisiana and Oklahoma near the Texas border.
