^ bbm^ Agree imo that getting a gun in US - legally or otherwise - may not be difficult. Depends on st. Usu'ly easier than (AFAIK) Australia.
True, some US states require a person buying a gun to register it (often done at purchase by gundealer supplying info to the st).
But respectfully, not all states require owners to register their guns. Varies by st.Per links below,
