Jane Doe's height and age estimates have been adjusted slightly. She was originally listed as age 25-29 and 5'1 to 5'3. She has been reassessed as possibly slightly younger and taller: 23-27 and 5'2-5'4.

I'm always curious why these small changes are made (was she exhumed and re-examined? was the data originally entered incorrectly, and recently fixed when someone ran across her file?) but I guess there's no way to know. Just posting it here in case it helps anybody in future searches.

Missing Person Case (namus.gov)

Just dropping her in to the mix. Alabama isn't that far. She has a scar on right thigh but doesn't explain where it came from.

Edit: DoeNetwork says its a burn scar.
4006DFAL - Diana Leigh Avera (doenetwork.org)

"Circumstances of Disappearance:
AVERA was arrested on 21.May.1982 and transferred to Searcy Hospital in Mount Vernon, Alabama. This was the last known contact with AVERA and her whereabouts are unknown. It was believed for some time that the hospital and/or their law enforcement personnel had taken measures to list AVERA as missing and/or investigate the matter'; however, it was recently found that this was not the case by family members."

''The Jack County Sheriff’s Office and Texas Rangers identified the woman Wednesday as Roberta Mumma, who was 25 years old at the time of her death. According to officials, Mumma's last known location before she was found dead in the rural North Texas town was all the way over in Tennessee''

''Now, after being identified 40 years later with the help of advanced forensic techniques and DNA analysis, law enforcement officials are actively investigating the cold case and asking for the public's help with information on Mumma's homicide.''
