Huge search underway as fears for missing woman grow

''Police are growing increasingly worried for a missing woman who has not been seen since Friday.

Cleveland Police are appealing for help to find Alison Danks, 39, who left her home in Marske, North Yorkshire, on Friday evening.

No one has seen or heard from her since, although there have been reported sightings of a woman on a bicycle heading towards the Danby/Commondale areas on the North Yorkshire Moors.

Today, officers have upped their appeal for help to find Alison, who is described as white, 5ft 6ins, of fair complexion, green eyes and blonde hair in a ponytail. She is also known as Alison Bishop.

She was wearing a bright mustard-coloured jacket and blue jeans but she may have changed her clothing.
''In a statement, Cleveland Police said: "We’re still very concerned for the welfare of missing 39 year old Alison Danks who has not returned to her home in Marske.''

''She has not been seen since. There were unconfirmed sightings of a woman cycling on the moors however, police have now ruled out this person was Alison.

Cleveland Police have since said that "officers believe Alison may have travelled via train to the Milton Keynes area".

A spokeswoman for Cleveland Police said: "Police are continuing to look for missing Alison Danks, 39, (also known as Bishop) and we are extremely concerned for her welfare.

"Alison was last seen at an address in Marske on Friday 22nd May and she has not been seen since.''

Quite troubling knowing this information. i really do hope she is found safe

Alison was last captured by CCTV on High street in Marske heading towards the sea front at 12.15am. With Alisons state of mind at the time and lack of sightings ( the woman on the bike in the Yorkshire moors was not her). The sea has to be an area of concern where Alison went.

Businesswoman's disappearance leads police to search fields in Marske

''Officers were spotted searching a large cornfield near Marske, between The Mermaid, in Marske, and Wheatlands Farm Wacky Warehouse, in Redcar, on Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday.''

"We want her back with us so I and her mum can keep her safe and help her with what she is trying to deal with. She wasn’t in a good place when we last saw and spoke to her, and the fact she hasn’t been in touch has us really worried.''

It's hard to make out isn't it? The police statement said she hasn't taken a purse or bag with her. So could it be an envelope? Worrying what it might contain
