On Facebook, North Wales Police said it is appealing for sightings of Mrs Jones who was reported missing from her home in Valley around midday on Friday.

Search for missing Valley woman, 75, as police appeal for help

I can’t see anything later than the article quoted above from the 14th February. There doesn’t appear to have been any statement either.

She was reported nas missing from her home, so she must have someone there (husband?) who reported her as missing.

I wonder if she'd had some bad news or ill health recently, or if she'd had any depression before.

It does sound like it could be suicide....but it could also be foul play if her car was just dumped there.

No further news articles that I can see. Some background info if you google Jean and her village, but could be a different person due to her surname. I do hope there is some news soon.

That's the thing: nothing in 9 months. And no further word from police. I wish when they put out appeals for the public's help, they'd follow up with at least periodic reports. This may be a case of she was found, and no update on it.

I can't find it anywhere, (though I found it this morning !) but I am sure I saw someone in the comments for one of the newspaper articles had nudged it more recently and been told that she hadn't been found (a couple of months ago). Do we have a public centralised missing persons list or found person list in the UK ? I perceive there to be more occurrences like this so more of a need. All of course, my opinion.

All Missing People have currently listed for missing women in Wales longer than 6 months is Catrin Maguire.
