That's why I was asking it posed as a legal question.
I'm aware they can't research or discuss 'the trial' but, I'm questioning if they can or cannot research relevant things but which aren't case specific
I take it all back. He’s really going for him now.16:22
Voyeurism not enough
Relowicz is being asked about an occasion where he carried out a sex act in front of two women on the corner of Alexandra Road.
Mr Wright said: “You didn’t run away, you stepped out with your trousers pulled down to your thighs and your penis exposed as you masturbated.
“You were staring at them as you were doing it. Knowing that they had seen you and could see that made you sexually excited.”
Relowicz has denied that.
Mr Wright said: “Just 19 days before Libby Squire entered your car.”
He also referred to the Wellesley Avenue offence on January 20, 2019, less than two weeks before Libby vanished.
Mr Wright said: “You pursued two women and you were so sexually excited you ejaculated over the front door.
“It wasn’t enough for you that they had seen you or that they were scared. This time you wanted to pursue them didn’t you?”
Relowicz says that is “not correct.”

But as they are not allowed to use anything that's not presented in court why would they research things that aren't case specific? They are expected to ask questions of the judge if they do not understand things ?
For example if they might not know how a tidal river might effect the case they would be expected to ask the judge ?
Would love to read the full transcript.I take it all back. He’s really going for him now.
Are you asking me? You've added question marks.
I spent 10 years in Germany- by the end of it I could speak basic grammatically incorrect German with my neighbours and when out and about. I could understand pretty much everything they said though, even the sarcasm and humour in a conversation.I thought English was taught at every school where it isn’t their first language. Could be wrong mind.
And with this in mind I took higher German and couldn’t string a sentence together now but if I lived in Germany sure it would be different..
Hes been living here since he was 18 im sure he has a very good understanding of English. My friend is from Bulgaria she spoke very little English when she moved here, you'd be surprised how quickly you can pick up languages when living in a country.
Out of interest does any body know if they teach any languages at Polish schools? My friend was taught Russian and English at school.
I guess he had to explain the DNA evidence and the only way was to plead guilty to rape or take the stand to claim consensual sex.he maybe have interpreter with him but he clearly answering questions on his own and he is not doing himself a favour
Im surprise his lawyer let him do this
maybe but I see how you (on forum) interpreted his answers , you picking some words from his answers and thinking he said them for a special reason when I think he use them because he doesn't know better word and it is first which came to his head (like" she was depressed" )@wikela I am sure he said earlier that although he doesn't speak English well, he does understand it well.
I am also quite sure that if he thought it would help his case he would insist on using the translator - he is clearly confident enough with what he plans to say that he has chosen not to do that. The translator is literally by his side so he could easily make use of them if he wants to. Maybe it is the opposite of what you may think and he wants to give his answers himself so nobody else can put a spin he doesn't want on the words he says.
Thank you @jamjim16:30
Trial ends for the day

Even stupid, thoughtless or foolish would be totally insufficient and inappropriate and that's just for the horrendous crimes he admitted already and has been convicted of.maybe but I see how you (on forum) interpreted his answers , you picking some words from his answers and thinking he said them for a special reason when I think he use them because he doesn't know better word and it is first which came to his head (like" she was depressed" )
I just think it was stupid move from his side to not using translator to talking for him they would probably use better word to translate what he really means
like he said his previous crimes was silly ,you can use more appropriate words to describe his actions but the word silly is translated to polish the same way like stupid ,thoughtless ,foolish and many other words ,he just picked one which he know(probably used by lady in his son nursery ;-)
I was learning Russian at school ,but even he was learning English I dont think so it would really help him in England
he was working with Polish people, have Polish friends and wife I think he didn't use English too much in every day life
I was learning Russian at school but younger generations learn english but it is really basic and if someone didnt do very well at school they wouldn't be able have conversation base on what they learn at school.
he also left Poland pretty early so I guess he dosen't have higher education to master his english at school
I guess he had to explain the DNA evidence and the only way was to plead guilty to rape or take the stand to claim consensual sex.
If he'd mentioned it earlier he wouldn't be up there cos he would have been. Questioned by police.
Like his decision to rape Libby and his refusal to answer questions about it earlier in the police station it is the consequence of his choices. It is his own fault
I feel so sorry for Libby's family listening to this, and her friends and boyfriend. How will they ever get over it.
And so sorry for his mum and family as well. I read her interviews and she came across as so decent. Like any mother - upset for Libby's mum. How must she feel.
He's destroyed loads of lives.
