Pathologist describes the traumatic internal injuries Logan suffered
Dr Williams now tells the court about the internal injuries found to Logan’s body.

On the head and neck, there was extensive deep slap bruising to the back of the head and patchy deep scalp bruising to the left frontal scalp and right frontal scalp also.

Williamson can be heard crying and coughing as this evidence is read to the court

There was haemorrhaging to the right side of the head and inside the skull

On the tongue there was a small area of deep bruising on the right side, which Dr Williams said could be caused if teeth are bitten together and tongue is caught.

There was haemorrhaging of the right lower abdomen, the left flank in the area below the rib cage and underside of the upper aspect of the muscles in front of the lower abdomen.

Towards the back, there was haemorrhaging to right of the mid line to the right part of the back

In the abdominal cavity there was 300ml of dark liquid/blood with small bits of blood clot, and number of injuries identified

The liver was torn 5.5cm x 3cm which caused bleeding and there was also a tear to the vowel.

There was injury to the duodenum which had been torn from the head of the pancreas, which caused bleeding.

There was “degloving injury” involving the duodenum, where the layers had become separated from fatty tissue holding it in place.

In the colon, there was extensive bleeding which extended to the right kidney and right side of the pelvis.

There was 20ml dark coloured fluid in the right chest cavity and 10ml of dark coloured fluid in the left chest cavity.

Lungs were uninjured and there was no evidence of drowning in the post mortem. The heart was normal and uninjured.

Stomach had a small quantity of dark red fluid in it.

There was a fracture to the left clavicle (shoulder) and haemorrhaging to soft tissue.

Someone else?
Who?
The youth?

The teen was a bully - sure.
Obnoxious and mouthy.
But was he a killer?
The injuries of Logan were catastrophic.

Why would AW protect him?

He was a 13 year old, terrified of coming back to "original family".
JC was a convicted criminal.

where do you get he was terrified of coming back to original family from?!

Defendant cries as injuries to Logan's brain are detailed
On August 25, 2021, an examination of Logan’s brain was carried out by neuropathologist Dr George Lammie.

This revealed brain swelling, bleeding, microcalcification, and hypoxic ischemic brain injury

Dr Williams said: “This is an injury that occurs to the brain when there is interruption to the supply of blood or oxygen.”

Logan's mum Williamson can be heard crying again. Samples were taken from organs which revealed the following:

The liver laceration included evidence of healing occurring.

There must have been a period of time between the injury being caused and death.

There was also evidence of healing change in the duradinam.

The clavicle fracture was also seen to be healing.

From the left side of the scalp, there was an area of extensive haemorrhaging.

Toxicology revealed there was paracetamol and GHB found in Logan’s blood, but GHB had been produced naturally.

There was no evidence he had been exposed to any alcohol or drugs before his death.

Some of Logan's injuries are frequently recorded in “abused children”.
In regards to his conclusion, Dr Williams said “(There were) multiple areas of bruising to scalp, forehead, face and around the jaw, the trunk, the arms and legs along with abrasions and scratches. There were no patterned injuries.

“There was approximately 300ml dark liquid blood in the abdomen with small bits of blood clotting…

“(There was) evidence of severe blunt force injury to right upper quadrant of the abdomen including tearing to the liver and bowel and strippiong of the duodenum from anantomal attachments.

“Two full thickness rupture sights were identified.”

The court heard there were features indicating a period of survival following injuries being sustained which may have been up to several hours.

Dr Williams added: “The findings do not indicate death occurred immediately after injuries were sustained.”

Williamson is sobbing and retching as the evidence is given.

Dr Williams said injuries to the duodenum in children are rare, normally sustained in context of motor vehicle collision, a collision between a pedestrian and a motor vehicle, bicycle accidents and non accidental injuries

He said he would expect these kinds of injuries from a high velocity accident or fall from a height greater than 10 feet.

The doctor said studies revealed solid organ injuries, to liver, spleen and kidney were common, but “abused children” were more likely to have suffered injury to the bowel along with another organ.

Duodenum injuries were frequently recorded in “abused children”.

Evidence of traumatic injury to Logan's brain nearly two days before he died
Dr WIlliams said: “In this case the constellation of abdominal injuries focused on the right quadrant of the abdomen area is indicative of several localised blunt force injuries with compression and shearing of abdominal contents.”

He said the severity of these injuries may be expected with fall or collapse and absence of a high velocity accident, the injuries are consistent with “a blow or blows, a kick or kicks or impact of impacts with a weapon”

There was extensive deep scalp bruising over the back of the head consistent with a blunt force head injury.

Ms Rees said there was evidence of traumatic damage to the brain. Neuropathological findings implied trauma occurred at least 90 minutes to two hours before death and raised the possibility of more than one episode of trauma.

The court heard at least part of the brain injury had been sustained 36 to 38 hours before death and suggested it had been caused by an accelerated fall before impact to the head.

Dr Williams said fracture healing to the left collarbone was said to be at least several weeks old with parts of the bone not quite knitted together. Surrounding fresh haemorrhaging cannot exclude a more recent injury or refracture.

The doctor added: “(There are) no pathological findings that would indicate drowning.”

The cause of Logan’s death was given as cerlunt force abdominal injury and cerebral injury including brain swelling, hypoxic ischemic neuronal injury and traumatic brain injury.

The trial adjourns for a 15-minute break.

AW sobbing and retching like this is all news to her - makes me so angry. He was covered in injuries and dying whilst she was watching Dr Pimple popper.
She had better get in that dock with an explanation of how they occurred if she wants any kind of justice for Logan.

Can we go back a little to the videos AW watched on the 29th. I will link them across and a corresponding news article for each. I know the prosecution believe Logan was assaulted on the 30th. AW said there was an assault on 29th. I can’t help but feel the planning started from watching these videos, Logan was still alive at this point.

1) Kidnapped 4yo Rebecca Lewis:
Rebecca Lewis found in Memphis after 5-state manhunt

2) Utah babysitter - shaken baby:
Utah babysitter to spend up to 5 years in prison for abusing infant

3) Missing toddler:
Missing 2-year-old found in NE Portland; search dog credited

Also these videos are completely at odds with AWs spot popping and other gross watching.

My story is this:

After days of Logan being knocked around by all three household members, including his own mother, my suspicion is that AW being somewhat unrealistic and unwilling to do the right thing, laid Logan in bed, medicated him (did she even over-medicate or drug him?, has there been toxicology?) and decided to 'manage it herself' instead of calling an ambulance. In the small hours she discovered Logan dead and freaked out to JC. Maybe JC had laid Logan in his bed and told AW he was fine?

JC then told her something like 'sit down, shut up, let me think' whilst he concocted a plan. So AW sat and watched rubbish videos of a nature she usually watches to 'calm herself'. JC's plan was to take Logan down to the woodland, strew around his clothing, and leave him laying there looking as if he'd been battered around and harmed by an abductor. AW then educated herself on abductions and injuries to infants caused by their abductors (and what their grieving mothers look like?).

Not one single person in that household could afford for Logan to be alive or ever speak again to tell the tale of what they'd done to him in those days.

Whoever said they saw a strange man in the woodlands in the early hours that day is very possibly 'in' on this terrible story.

They were unified in their motivation - save the family unit, keep their baby (the Youth's younger sibling?), prevent the Youth from being taken into care, get married, happy ever after. For ever more 'the AW circus show' would be that of a grieving mother who lost her tiny boy to a disgusting abductor. She was probably already planning her TV interviews and some go fund mes.

Cross examination for Cole
The trial resumes.

David Elias QC, for John Cole, begins his cross examination of Dr Williams.

The barrister refers to a “potential survival time” of several hours but that Logan “may not have” survived for several hours.

Dr Williams confirms this, but says the features indicate death did not occur immediately and the injuries did not occur after death.

Mr Elias also asked if the “healing process” in children was quicker than that of adults. The witness agreed with reservation.

The barrister said: “Is it possible Logan died within an hour or two?”

Dr Williams said: “It’s possible.”

Mr Elias asks if it’s possible that the external injuries could have been caused in the same incident and “relatively quickly”.

Dr Williams said: “Yes.”

The barrister asked if the injuries to Logan’s brain and abdomen “worked together” to affect Logan through blood loss.

Dr Williams confirms this was the case.

It’s also asked if the injury to the brain would have resulted in “immediate unconsciousness” and Logan could have regained consciousness.

The doctor said: “Yes.”

Turning to the injury to the collarbone, Mr Elias said Dr Williams couldn’t be more precise other than it had taken place “several weeks ago”, which the witness confirms.

The trial adjourns for a lunch break and will resume at 2pm.

Those injuries are almost impossible to read. To die over a long time of those horrific painful injuries sustained at the hands of his mother and 'family' is heartbreaking.

Poor little Logan, may he rest in eternal peace. This world was not good enough for him and he deserved far far better.

It’s awful, I can’t believe AW didn’t know the severity of how badly injured he was… it’s difficult to read but makes it clear she would have known full well an early night with Calpol was futile!

I wonder what triggered the outburst from either JC/the youth? There was mention of Logan asking about his biological dad I’m sure…. ? Perhaps he voiced how unhappy he was and asked for his real dad which may have got JCs back up? I just hope his so called mother does the right thing and tells all.

Clothing was wet and included black Spiderman pyjama top with faecal staining to the bottom.

Earlier evidence in the trial - same link

PC Matthews said: “I asked why the window in his bedroom was open and asked if it was locked. She said she didn’t know if it was open and they had been airing out the room as he had Covid and the back door was open.

-

Williamson said: “Where is he then?”

PC Hibbs said: “I don’t know.”

The officer searches the path.

Williamson said: “He’s got Covid so I can’t remember if we were airing the room. The back door was open.”

--

I think she was airing the room because Logan had, as a result of his severe injuries, soiled his pyjamas and she hadn't even changed him. It explains why the room wasn't being "aired" the rest of the week and all the attention paid by investigators to the window every day and night.

I wouldn't look for excuses for AW's behavior. She was very cold hearted waiting for him to die. He had sustained injuries over several days. Some of which were healing up at the time of death. Her antics in court sound like a "Hey, look at me" kind of thing. Everything needs to be about her. She's a nightmare.
