Heard the verdict on our local radio in the States today while driving. Had to pull over and read the early verdict reports.
Never doubted her guilt, as too many different nurses and consultants were suspicious. When the evidence with the flowchart came out showing her presence during the deaths, my feeling were confirmed.
I feel for the parents, families, police, jurors, physicians, nurses and staff that had to fight for so long to get justice for these heinous crimes!

I'm still waiting to hear what else is going to come out.

I have a feeling that there is still something absolutely massive to come out about her - something previous in her life.
The TV Media keep mentioning her PTSD (do you we know what that refers to? Over being arrested? Or something in her former life) and her Hypervigilance.

“It was unlikely to have been her first experience of medicine, however. At the age of 11, she was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid, a condition which can cause tiredness, weight gain and depression in sufferers.

Untreated it can also impair fertility and lead to problems in pregnancy. It is also likely to have brought her into contact with the medical profession for the first time, involving frequent visits to the GP and specialists. Later she also developed optic neuritis, a condition caused by inflammation of the optic nerve which can cause pain and blurred vision.

During the trial she revealed the thyroid medication sometimes made her grumpy, texting one friend 'everyone peeing me of
f.'

Oh wow I have shivers!

Lucy Letby is an EVIL, sick, twisted, narcissistic psychopathic BABY MURDERER!

I have no more words just tears for those darling little babas and their parents whose lives have been completely destroyed by this abhorrent, cold, cruel and calculating monster.

No longer MOO but FACT.

May she get a WLO and never be freed.
I have to say I've been wondering today if Psychopath is the explanation. Just my opinion. Especially remembering when she told grieving parents they had had enough time with their dead baby and she was taking the baby away now. At the time I thought that was cruel (in my opinion) but now today I wonder if its more simple, that she just cannot feel or empathise? JMO MOO

''Many will suspect Letby has some form of psychopathy. Those who observed her in court saw a defendant coldly detached from the allegations she faced, often staring impassively from the glass-panelled dock as jurors heard the most harrowing testimony – including from parents who witnessed their babies’ “horrendous” screams and others who saw tiny limbs contorted in seizure.''

''It was not until the 16th week of the trial that Letby showed any emotion, but it had nothing to do with her victims. A married doctor with whom she was said to be infatuated – she denied that they were in a romantic relationship – arrived in courtroom seven at Manchester crown court to give evidence one afternoon in February.''

''As he confirmed his name from behind the screen that shields witnesses from the view of the defendant, Letby started crying and left her seat to try to open the door to the court cells. Four months into one of the most distressing criminal trials in recent memory, this was the first time she had shed a tear.''

So it seems. So sure were they of her innocence (at the start at least), her dad threatened the doctors with the GMC to have Letby reinstated in her post.. I wonder if his thoughts have changed listening throughout the trial or if they still match that of her mother. Her home alone with dozens of paperwork, I wonder what he made of that- or if he “knew” that “oh *advertiser censored*” moment and the shredder was something she had recently accommodated from him (the box in the wardrobe in the bedroom). The whole thing is deeply disturbing- and if her parents still believe she is innocent, they are very much deluded.

That way I look at it is this: we find it incredibly difficult to believe that someone could be so monstrously sadistic, so callous, so cruel, so indifferent to the tiny little vulnerable lives that were used and abused for personal kicks. We're uninvolved bystanders. And if we find it so hard to take in, imagine how it must feel for her own parents, that their daughter, clearly the apple of their eyes, is actually this monstrous person?

They'll need time to process this and the fact is, they may never process it, or certainly never fully process it. Denial may be the only thing keeping them going.

I don't think they should be judged for that.

I’ve had an underactive thyroid for almost a decade. The meds have never made me grumpy. Could be different for others, I guess, but I can’t quite see it as mitigation for child murder!

This should never have been possible. Grossly underfunded NHS, grossly understaffed. Corners cut and safeguarding not a priority. Perfect conditions for a serial killer. Heads must roll but more importantly, the systemic issues that aren't unique to this hospital must be addressed. Other hospitals were just lucky it wasn't them, many have the same issues.

Indeed, this appalling government has a lot to answer for.

Something odd strikes me from her childhood photo— she seems to have an elongated head? Maybe it’s just the camera angle. In the past, sometimes premature infants would get flattened heads from being turned side to side, and the softness of their skull. (Doesn’t happen as much anymore due to improved positioning techniques) It would cause a very distinctive elongated appearance, at least in my experience.

It does bring up the question that’s been asked before— could she have been a premature infant herself? IMO.

This is not a funding or staffing issue. They had the required number of staff available.

It's about culture and, to be frank, people in management positions, sometimes senior management positions, who are clearly incompetent or who simply did not care.

First 2 verdicts were the insulin cases

A few days later a few more guilty murder verdicts

She was there those 2 days

Letby cried first day
Held head down 2 nd day

2nd day mother loudly said this is wrong can't be happening

She refused to attend after that

They didn't have the correct number of staff by a long shot. Around a 25% shortfall like most NNUs.
