Thanks for that, it went farther west than I would have thought
I was trying to trace the stream that Rope Walk follows. After it crossed under New St, it's no longer really visible from the surface any more so it's going into an underground drain or culvert? It looks like the water would logically course along the path off Mill Wall and enter the River Stour.
So presumably, something put into the stream would be swept underground and possibly retained there or end up in the River Stour.
Maybe the alleged perp had experience doing something like that as kids with boats and went back to a familiar place to dispose of some thing that he thought could float and never be found caught in an underground pipe or culvert.
I hope not but that had crossed my mind. Are there any other reports of missing women from the area of recent that made the news?We have heard of a new search site this evening ,it is possible another one will also be discovered.
The police must feel they have a very good idea of what happened from the images.
The reports say that the first footage captures 2 figures on the road and the car with the hazards on. The next footage shows the car with the two front doors open >2 mins later. Can we infer from that that the doors weren't open in the initial footage?
That seems to rule out a swift abduction. A coercion/arrest theory would fit with this. He stops the car, gets out and shuts the door, presents himself as an officer, they spend some time speaking, he then asks her to get into the car to take her details, both doors are open to try and make her feel at ease and then (potentially) when there is a low point in the traffic (after the 2nd bus footage) he pounces and shuts her in.
On the night of the arrest the police did that thorough search of Poynders Court and Rodenhurst corner as if they felt something had happened in there rather than just on the road. Perhaps he parked in there once she was in the car?
I'm struggling to see another scenario where both car doors would be open, if he was moving her body into the car then you'd think just the passenger's side would be open. If she opened the door to flee and he followed then wouldn't the most likely way to be right up/into the path of another car rather than off the side?
All JMO, the footage should be able to draw a good picture (interesting if she features in the footage with the car doors open or it doesn't pick anyone up either on the road or in the car)
Sorry just catching up, is it a clothes recycling point under the tent or various bins?Photos from Sandwich from the air. Credit and courtesy of @UKNIP247

There's a CCTV on the side of a building just at the curve of Cattle Market St.It does seem increasingly likely that one of his vehicles has been seen in cctv entering the car park

Moira Jones and her killer were caught by bus CCTV, picture on this news link gives an idea of what can be picked up.
CCTV footage of Moira Jones killer
"Goats That Dance coffee rooms"... at least you have a healthy sense of humour in Sandwich
Rebecca Carr, was quite a few years ago I'm just looking now, she went missing from Gillingham 2002 xI hope not but that had crossed my mind. Are there any other reports of missing women from the area of recent that made the news?

I signed up just to reply to this! - It is a lovely place, I live hereIt seems like a lovely place to visit.
My main knowledge applies to trials in Scotland but in many trials here (Moira Jones as mentioned above, Alesha MacPhail case, Paige Docherty case etc) quite extensive CCTV is released after conviction. Not 100% if if this as often the case in England though although I could be wrong. Thanks for sharing this.
I wonder if whatever relevant CCTV they've got now will be released at some point, after/during trial maybe? I suppose it depends what's actually been caught on camera, because if it IS footage of an actual kidnapping, then I'd presume that would be too traumatic for her family to be released....any thoughts?
Or she dropped it as he was bundling her into the boot... if she just finished call it was probably still in her hand and not pocket?
I agree, don't think wife is involved IMO xI have been lurking on this thread, it's always interesting to read Web Sleuthers posts on these types of cases. I sometimes get really emotionally impacted by and invested in these types of crimes and always feel reassured that I'm not out of the ordinary for this when I come to websleuths.
Regarding EC, I was wondering if it's possible she might have been arrested because her car had been used in some manner by the accused. I find it hard to get my head around the idea she knowingly covered up his crime in some way but I do know it's possible. JMO.
This is CCTV of Moira actually being abducted, he has her by the arm and is marching her into the park and this was released so I have a horrible feeling we may see something similar at trial..Thanks for sharing this.

It is a dreadful thought. Is there a chance that the suspect had some area set-up and he had to get rid of more items? I was under the impression that this was just a rural or hidden area but maybe there is more evidence of a broader activity and this is why law enforcement is looking in various places.Rebecca Carr, was quite a few years ago I'm just looking now, she went missing from Gillingham 2002 x
