This man was a homeless guy, he used to live in a shed, his name/nickname was Bert, possibly lived in Souldrop or Poddington. He frequently visited the Candy Corner Cafe in Rushden (not Rushton, that's a typo)
The police were informed of this at the time, but im not sure it was followed up on.
 
I hate to Nitpick, but just to Clarify, he wasn't found in Northampton, Rushden is about 18 miles from there.
