US F-15 fighters intercepting unresponsive aircraft over Atlantic

Two American fighter jets were sent to intercept an unresponsive “light business and utility aircraft” late Friday morning, the North American Aerospace Defense Command, or NORAD, acknowledged.

According to a statement published by NORAD, jets have been deployed to investigate the aircraft, believed to be en route from Rochester, New York to Naples, Florida, after the plane failed to respond to attempts to communicate.

Just heard an update on Fox News. The plane has now entered Cuban air space and is close to what would be the end of its fuel. Looks like it might be a medical emergency with the plane on auto pilot perhaps, but that's JMO.

Just heard on CNN that US govt along with Cuba thinks that it's not a threat, but that there was some sort of tragedy on the plane and that the pilot may have lost consciousness. How sad.

A single-engine plane that left Rochester, NY, bound for Naples, FL, has been unresponsive since 10am.

It was tracked by US fighter jets first but is now over Cuban airspace and being tracked by Cuban fighters. Pilots say the windows are frosted and they can't see crew inside.

I just read when the F-15s were up in the air they said all the windows are frosted up.

Sounds like a decompression problem like Payne Stewart's aircraft.

The CEO is known to be a pilot and they have properties in Naples, FLA
