Police Need Help Finding Missing Woman

Police need your help to find a woman missing since Sunday.

28-year-old Susan Powell was last seen at her West Valley Home.

Powell was reported missing around 10:00 on Sunday Night by her family members.

She is described as a Caucasian female, 5’4”, with brown hair and blue eyes.

Capt. Tom McLachlan said Susan and Joshua Powell and their kids were reported missing by family members Monday. Susan Powell's parents called police after not being able to find the family at home. They also checked with their employers and neither Susan nor Joshua Powell went to work Monday.

Joshua Powell and his 4- and 1-year-old children returned to their home Tuesday, McLachlan said.

Investigators were interviewing Joshua Powell and planned to talk to the 4-year-old, McLachlan said. Police would not discuss details of the interviews.

Police seek missing West Valley woman

WEST VALLEY CITY — Police are looking for a West Valley woman who hasn't been seen since Sunday.

Investigators issued a statewide attempt-to-locate bulletin Monday for Josh Powell, his wife Susan, and the couple's two children, said West Valley Police Capt. Tom McLachlan.

Susan Powell's family reported her missing on Sunday night, and neither she nor her husband went to work Monday, police said. They hadn't called their employers, either, to say they wouldn't be in to work.

McLachlan said officers have since located Josh Powell and the children, but they have yet to find Susan Powell. Josh Powell is being interviewed by detectives, the captain said, declining to say whether authorities suspect foul play.

The whole family was initially reported missing, but Joshua and the two children showed up on Tuesday. Both Joshua and Susan were absent from work on Monday and neither one called in.
Some reports say Susan last seen Saturday, some say Sunday, one says Sunday at 10 PM. LE issued an ATL on Monday.
They must have a reason for issuing an ATL so quickly if Susan was last seen on Sunday at 10 PM, yes?

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (ABC 4 News) – Police say they found no evidence at a campsite as they continue to search for a missing mom.

Susan Powell disappeared from her home Sunday night and hasn’t been seen.

Police now say that her husband Josh Powell is a person of interest and plan to interview him for a third time Friday.

Meanwhile Powell’s father who lives in a suburb of Seattle spoke with the local ABC affiliate KOMO 4. Chuck Cox offered more details about what police found inside the home.

“They found a wet spot on the floor being dried by two fans,” Cox said. He spoke with Josh Powell Tuesday and said that he offered little insight as to where Susan was.

May 7, 2010 - Examiner.com reported Tuesday that there is a Gag Order restricting police from discussing the Susan Cox Powell missing person’s case. On Thursday ABC 4 reported there is no Gag Order, it’s a Secrecy Order. “Gag Order,” “Secrecy Order,” the District Attorney says it’s just a play on words.
