Virginia boy's body found in parents' freezer after roughly 2 years

Virginia police say the body of a dead boy found in his parent’s freezer may have been there for between 18 months and two and a half years before a tipster led investigators to the home.

The boy, identified by Chesterfield police as Eliel Adon Weaver, is believed to have died before his fifth birthday.

Police said they received a tip that the child’s body may have been hidden at a home on Lookout Point Circle, a Richmond-area suburb, back on May 4.

Hi @JoeFromLB . Your care and compassion for children abused in this often horrendous world is so important. You truly are appreciated.

Somebody posted this in the Crimes forum the other day. However the poor little guy's name I don't think was mentioned.

Sorry I can't link but there were several articles saying there was abuse in the household. Ya think?

Maybe Mods can merge? Soooo sad nobody missed Eliel? No questions where he was? Nobody to advocate for him?

You have though, Joe. We all care. Nope, it seems it never ends!

I cannot find any update on the autopsy or cause of death.
Latest news story is from July 7th.

5 months after boy’s body found in freezer, Richmond-area father charged with murder

MIDLOTHIAN — A Virginia man has been charged with murder in the death of his son, whose remains were found in a freezer at the family home in May, police announced Tuesday.

Kassceen Weaver, 49, was indicted last week on charges of felony murder, aggravated malicious wounding and felony child neglect in the death of his son, Eliel, who was under the age of 5, The Richmond-Times Dispatch reported. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined the remains were of Eliel Weaver, but the cause and manner of his death are still under investigation, police said Tuesday.

Virginia dad is indicted for murder after hiding son's body, 5, in freezer for TWO YEARS | Daily Mail Online

"A Virginia father has been indicted for the murder of his four-year-old son after the boy's corpse was found in his parents' freezer.

Little Eliel Adon Weaver's body may have been in the freezer for two-and-a-half years before he was finally found by police in May, after his concerned uncle called the cops.

His dad Kassceen Weaver, 49, was indicted Wednesday for felony murder, felony child abuse, aggravated viscous wounding and neglect while the boy's mother, 48-year-old Dina Weaver, has been charged with conspiracy to conceal a body and failing to render aid to a child, according to KFVS12.

Dina's brother called the police and reported his 'concerns' regarding his sister's 'domestic violence situation,' and said that she told him earlier that month that her son had been dead for two years.

Cops found Eliel when they obtained a warrant and searched the family's home on Lookout Point Circle in the Richmond suburb of Chesterfield on May 4.

Deep in one of the freezers, they discovered the child's remains tied up in twine, wrapped in adult clothing and a sheet then stored inside a bag."

I just saw a short news video about the arrest and discovery. It’s the first I’ve heard. Poor, poor baby child.

Same here, @HM99. Just devastating. Another beautiful little human being, hurt and killed. How many days did this little guy wake up terrified that the day would be full of pain?

At least he has been away from it all for however long; now justice may indeed be coming to those who terrified and hurt this beautiful little boy with the pretty names. Why did they give him beautiful names and then turn around and hurt him? His "father" should be jailed for life since VA abolished the death penalty.

CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WRIC) – Chesterfield prosecutors can’t bring forward past domestic abuse allegations against Kassceen Weaver – who faces murder charges after his son’s body was found in a freezer in 2021 – when he goes to trial on an unrelated aggravated malicious wounding charge, except under certain conditions.

Weaver is set to go to trial in July on charges of felony murder, felony child neglect and concealing a dead body in the death of his son, Eliel Adon Weaver

Attorneys for K. Weaver filed motions to prevent an expert from providing testimony in the domestic abuse case, require prosecutors to narrow down the timeframe of the alleged assault and keep a list of “prior bad acts” that D. Weaver is now accusing K. Weaver of from being used.
