<<Brown’s sister said she was intelligent and fierce. She served in the Army for 18 years and was a sergeant first class who served during Operation Desert Storm.

“Well, she always said I’ll see you in a minute; she never said bye,” said Rucksdale.

Unfortunately, that minute turned to hours, and hours to days, and days to years.

Rucksdale told WDBJ7 the last time she saw her sister was when they were getting ready for their brother’s wedding. And when Brown didn’t show up for the bridal shower, they knew something was very wrong.

“When we knew she was not in place, and Hattie wouldn’t just go, walk away from us and not tell us where she’s going, then the panic attack comes over you,” said Rucksdale.>>

Very nice article about Hattie-video clip showing last moments at the gas station

<<But by Sunday they started getting worried after they learned Hattie's purse, driver's license and dog had been left behind.

"She'll never go anywhere without that little chihuahua. Well, no, she'd never leave that dog," said Randy.>>

<<ABC 13 obtained the surveillance video that shows Hattie at the store.

In that video you can see Hattie arriving at the store in her silver Volkswagen Jetta.

The video shows her entering the store briefly where she says something to what appears to be a security guard.

As Hattie leaves, she gestures towards a man that Virginia State Police says was Derek.>>

Thanks for bumping up her case. I remember them saying a relative was one of the last to see her or be seen with her. I don't remember the name 'Derek' though.
