It was speculated yesterday that her insurance would pay for it. IDK
According to Andy Signore over at Popcorned Planet, it’s Amber Heard’s house insurance company that’s footing the bill for her legal expenses. This apparently is how a lot of Hollywood celebrities end up paying for their legal fees in defamation cases.

The problem with the insurance policies is that they don't usually pay for everything a defendant might want or need. Like medical ins sometimes does, they have financial caps on certain services and may deny other certain requests.

That may be why AH's experts seemed to be of a lower quality, overall, than JD's You get what you pay for.

I was listening to one of the online you tubers who has a number of attorneys discuss the case. Of course they are biding time now until verdict...they were talking about the reduced budget for the AH team . As the case prep went along it got more and more expensive and cuts were made...the firm probably knew this case was going to be a loser for them so they take that into consideration. I imagine the video testimony using the depos was cost saving as in many cases they could have been flown in and appeared in person. The experts were not top tier ...nothing really was.

i simply cannot imagine how angry AH must be at this point with this massive JD adoration going on and now he is in UK partying it up...staying in ultra expensive hotel and seeing his old flame KM?

I suspect you may be correct.
Most certainly something she needs to address and work through with a trained, competent therapist.

She would have to see a need to do so, and want to. I don't believe she sees any lack in herself at all, or if she does, can't force herself to acknowledge it. There's nothing wrong with her, she tells herself. It's everyone else. JMO

now appears set to seek solace in a home valued at $1 million in California’s Yucca Valley, near Joshua Tree National Park.

Heard, 36, purchased the three-bedroom, three-bathroom desert oasis in 2019 for only $570,000 at the time under a private trust in the name of her accountant, according to property records seen by The Post.

But it appears she didn’t actually move into the home, which was built in 2015, until earlier this year, Dirt reported.

The home spans over 2,400 square feet and the property stretches over nearly six acres of desert land.
nice, but this article says: "They have been living in London, where Heard has been pictured pushing the gorgeous child around in a stroller."

and the open window and greenery pics do not show the desert... And London is where JD flew to perform... is the world large enough to encompass both of these folks? (BTW, picture in the desert seems to show Heard as a brunette)

It was a genius move to have Kate Moss give testimony.

She is a legend. Not an actress, so she doesn't compare with AH or compete for the same roles. Doesn't run with the Hollywood crowd or have any need for them at all. Has her own life, her own income, her own man, her onw very prominent and influential friends of first-name fame. Her brief testimony was wonderful and direct, not effusive or coached. It make AH's words on tape and her distracting fake crying, head-bobbing, look vulgar, bile-filled, and irrational. It also made Ellen Barkin look like a scorned obsessed cougar. KM's looked mature and highly beautiful, calm, tranquil, and posh in a way that AH can never be.

I wouldn't be surprised if AH confided to JD at some point that KM was an idol to her and she really admired her. Clever way to turn those tables.

It was also endearing to see that JD and KM have a nice affection for each other after all these years.

Johnny Depp has been camped out at the Ritz-Carlton in Virginia during his marathon defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard, recuperating from his daily courtroom grind with chicken Parmigiana dinners and red wine, sources told Fox News Digital.

The veteran thespian and his entourage routinely drop $1,000 a night on fine wines and have opted for the $35 chicken Parmigiana entrée as their default dish, according to another source.
who is taking care of the dog?

The last two photos are most definitely NOT in Yucca Valley. There is also an interior yoga shot from another publication that shows a lush green side yard with fir trees. Again, NOT in Yucca Valley. The window photos might, indeed, be in London, but they could also have been a photo shoot from the house she used to live in in Los Angeles, which had some large trees and a green lawn.

"Amid this grotesquerie, it might be possible to overlook the bizarre involvement of the ACLU. But the civil-rights organization’s cringeworthy role deserves closer scrutiny because of its centrality to the case, and because it exemplifies the degree to which the ACLU has lost its way in recent years.

The ACLU’s bestowal of an ambassadorship and scribe-for-hire services upon a scandal-plagued actor willing to pay seven figures to transform herself into a victims’ advocate and advance her acting career—Heard pushed for a publication date that coincided with the release of her film Aquaman—is part of the group’s continuing decline. Once a bastion of free speech and high-minded ideals, the ACLU has become in many respects a caricature of its former self."

I hate to think what their yearly insurance costs are. Yet again, anyone in business has to cover their you know what’s . So, a hefty umbrella policy is in order. I guess the bigger the star, the bigger the policy.
Although AH isn’t a big star, I do wonder if she increased her policy coverage before she filed this law suit.

Found it very interesting to see the support from Paul McCartney, who suffered so many accusations at the hand of Heather Mills in her divorce settlement. She lost her claim for 2.500.000. Not sure what she got in the end. But it was less and McCartney was hurt by her accusations.

She wanted 125,000,000 Pounds. He offered 15,800,000 pounds. The judge awarded her 16,500,000 pounds from him, and she had her own assets of 7,800,000 so she walked away with a total of 24,300,000 pounds.

They had been married for 4 years and had one child together.

It looks like the USD$ / UK Pound rate was much higher in those days.
