Me either. I remember reading somewhere that she nearly insisted they continue on with their interview. Not only that, LE told her that her parents had hired an attorney (after he showed up at the police station) while they were driving out to the location where they dumped Nicole's body. They asked her if she still wanted to continue on or go back to the police station, and she told them she wanted to continue.

Remember how NK said it was exciting to help DE with his plans? She said she felt like part of a secret club or something. Then, in the booking footage that was released after she was arrested, she seemed so amped up and excited. LE said NK seemed eager to help them with the details.

Exactly. I remember us all discussing how 'perky' she was in that booking video. Reality has probably sunk in by now. Wonder how it was spending her first holiday locked up.

Since LE & the FBI were both involved while she was talking, I would assume things were done correctly. These defense attorneys usually try to use the Miranda right excuse. The hearings this week should be interesting...I looked to see if it was going to be live streamed, but have yet to find anything...doubt it.

The Montgomery County Court judge decided on Tuesday that Keepers will be able to wear civilian clothing during her trial.

She is also allowed a gluten-free diet.

The request for her trial to be moved is under advisement.

The defense requested to subpoena police training materials, which was not granted.

The defense also requested a pre-jury selection questionnaire. In response, the judge said they can submit a brief and a list of questions.

There is a chance of extending the dates of the trial because of the jury selection process.

According to an audio recording of her interrogation, Lovell tripped and scratched her tracheotomy scar. After that David Eisenhower took a knife and cut where she was scratched.

Keepers said in the recording "David reached back into her throat and pulled," before he pushed her to the ground and held her there. In the recording, Keepers says that Eisenhower flipped Lovell over and stabbed her in the heart and stomach several times.

"We drove to North Carolina so he could dump the body," Keepers said in the recording. "Her blanket and the soap we used to clean her with are in a suitcase in my dorm room," she admitted.

Keepers said David Eisenhower forced her to help him and was detailed in her description of the chain of events.

Blacksburg Detective Ryan Hite testified Keepers always maintained she was not present during the killing of Lovell.

The first recordings played Tuesday were taken while police thought Keepers was an alibi witness for Eisenhauer and not “in custody,” police said.

At one point, Keepers told investigators that she assumed the Lovell’s family knew. She asked, “Will my name be mentioned? I don’t want, like any angry parents coming out.”

She went in to explain how Eisenhauer asked her to “give him 24-hour headstart” if police questioned her. “Because I know he was planning on running and changing his identity. An escape plan,” she said.

He even made up a code, she said. “If I get one phone call,” she was recorded saying, “talk about vomiting or the first time we met.”
