I would not put it past Jodi, to grin and smirk, when it is announced that she is guilty of 1st degree murder.

They definitely didn't keep tabs on one another. I think smells sneak up on you, too, if you are living in it, in a way that it doesn't if you are never there. The roommates feel guilty enough, so I don't look to bash them about it. It has probably had a lasting effect on them.

As far as it being summer, that just means the AC was probably blasting.

I am just thankful that JA left so much evidence behind and eventually admitted to killing him. Otherwise, the roommates would have been torn to shreds as suspects. I'm not bashing them, it's just one of those things that you sit back and think about.

Have a fit.... :floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

Not a good thing. IMO.

As a mom, I gave my kids wings and loved watching them fly away and make their way on this earth. My kids always know I will be cheering them on and know where I am, if they need me/dad.

Did we see an official ruling on that or did Juan decide not to call the bank fraud woman? It's possible he decided that he didn't need her.

We didn't see a ruling as it was all sealed. As she didn't appear I am only assuming it was not allowed. Sorry, I forgot to add MOO to my original posting.

OK HLN is funny they are giving participants KY and pop rocks and "tools".

A woman also has a baby chihuahua pup she named Juan Martinez...
He is soooo cute!

Bad taste or just Friday night fun for those that have followed the case?
I am on the comic relief side.

Re-watching JM's first closing argument. The part where Juan says she sounded like a screetching cat or something like that has me :floorlaugh: so much. He has no love lost for her...or ALV for that matter.

I busted out laughing at that part. Classic. Poor ALV, JM clearly despises that woman to pieces too.

Donovan is 14 and not even in high school yet, thank goodness. I still have a few years with my handsome son under my roof.

Nurmi said she transferred the money between accounts. I have never heard anything like that till it came out of his mouth.

some guy who said he was a friend of jodi's - i think from where she worked said on hln interview that he lent the money to jodi, cuz he said she was very upset and in a panic to visit travis - thats where she got the cash to deposit in her accts - imo

Cash transfers between accounts are normally recorded as such, and would have that word on the bank records.

Perfect name for a Chihuahua! I'm with you, I need a laugh right about now.

Don't Matt and Daryl know each other too? That is just nasty Jodi!! :floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

I think she worked circles of friends...
Always attaching to a guy that the previous one knew.

I also think that she found out about Travis MONTHS
prior to meeting him.
I think she set out to "hook up" with him.

The most logical question I never heard anyone ask - and of course, it may have been asked and I missed it - why don't you help us recover the gun, Jodi? Because if the gun belongs to Travis that would corroborate part of your story. Why don't we send out a team and try to locate it? So where about in the desert off or along the highway did you toss it? I mean, if that was me and I knew that finding the gun might save me from premeditated felony murder - I'd be racking my brain to think where? I think that would be very telling to the jury. I realize the gun is more than likely her grandparents' but I think it would have been a good question to ask.

I think they can identify with him.Couldn't live without him might commit suicide.Really only likes to have sex with him cause he's the best.Told him her best memory of sex was when she lost her virginity at 12.She played all the tunes and most men who have been played turn off the record. The women will look at the names he called her.i don't know I see the men on for pre-meditation.
I think the male jurors are more likely to give JA a break because they are more naive about how truly evil a woman can be.

BBM~ Because Jodi wanted to make sure her last phone call was made to Ryan before she powers off her cell phone as she leaves California?

If her cell phone is powered off, Ryan can try to call her but won't get through. She has formulated her lies (alibi) to turn off the cell phone before leaving California. When Ryan wonders where she is (all the while visiting Travis); she just says: "I got lost". He believes her. :moo:

In this post, I was asking Nurmi why she didn't lie to Ryan if she'd already known she was going to Travis' house.

Nurmi is making up a theory that in itself doesn't make sense. He is saying that Jodi called Ryan and told him she was coming there. He asked why she'd do that if she was on a mission to kill Travis.

I asked myself that question because it was a VERY important question to me. And I came up with my answer--Zach. Had Zach not been there, she wouldn't have been but a couple hours late to Ryan.

But for Nurmi's defense, this call poses problems. Ryan was the last call Jodi made. That means--according to Jodi's story--she already knew she was going to Travis' house. So why not lie to Ryan and make an excuse to be late, so that Ryan won't know she's going to Travis'?

Nurmi claims the trip was not covert. Nurmi claims Travis talked Jodi into coming there. There was no secret killing planned. So if that's true, why wouldn't Jodi make something up to Ryan to cover for the fact that she actually was going to see Travis? You know, so Ryan won't know that she's visiting yet another ex on her trip?

Am I making sense? Let's pretend Jodi didn't plan to murder Travis. But she decided to see him after he begged her. She knows she'll with Travis, visiting him for a while, right? She won't just go there, wave at him and get back on the road. So it stands to reason on that last call to Ryan, she would have told him SOMETHING so he wouldn't expect her in 12 hours. See what I am saying?

But Nurmi is using the question as I was using the question in my mind earlier. Days earlier, I wanted to know why a killer would call Ryan and say she'd be there in 12 hours if she was planning on going to Mesa and killing Travis. It's a natural question. If it wasn't, Nurmi wouldn't have brought it up. And he brought it up to trip up the jurors. That's why I'm so animated about this question.

My answer is Zach threw her plan off. I hope the jury comes up with a similar reason and doesn't get tripped up by this. That's all I'm trying to say. I just wish others would understand what I'm saying and not :floorlaugh: at me for talking about questions.

First of all, I will not be laughing. :) It is a fair question and actually you have presented a very logical explanation. I also believe JA called Ryan and gave him her ETA to set up an alibi and that she hadn't planned on staying as long as she did with Travis, but having to do so because Zach was home, she came up with "Plan B." Once having to implement "Plan B" (sex and photos) she couldn't call Ryan to inform him she would be late as it would record on her cell phone which she had turned off to remain undetected in Arizona. As for not calling him later when she left Arizona perhaps she hadn't come up with an excuse yet in her mind why she was running so late and probably never thought of him actually telling LE she had been so late.

MOO

Thanks. I agree. But if the trip was going as the defense would have us believe, then she could have located her phone charger, charged the phone and called Ryan with a BS story about being late. You don't just be late to visit a guy you are interested in and leave him out of the loop for 25 hours. Not unless you're murdering Jodi. She could have gone to the car and did this within 10 minutes without Travis knowing what she was doing. She could have contacted Ryan on an IM with her laptop with a late excuse. Had Jodi innocently been a Travis' house, there should be no reason her phones and laptop can't be recorded as being there.

I really hope the jury thinks about that, about the REAL reason she didn't make up a lie to Ryan.

I'm still catching up but I had to comment on the phone ringing in court.....

It caught me and KN off guard...LOL

But I focused on 'what" was playing....the particular ring tone.

I don't know the whole song but it says something like "light u up like it's dynamite"....

When I heard that I instantly thought of Travis.....he was trying to tell us what's going to happen in the days to come....

After Jodi is lit up with the first degree murder conviction....."we're going to dance all night".

I know I am.

song was: redundant post for me since I first posted this. Doesn't hurt.
