Yes! That is where I first heard of the ritualistic killing theory. I'm not a member of the site but it is very good. It has a lot of intelligent posters... like here.

Me too. ID channel is the white noise I sleep to. Often fall asleep and will awake to the same segment I was watching hours ago! I have watched NUMEROUS shows there recently where I thought they must know JA.

Not really. It was DB's testimony who said they were there almost every night teaching her. I would think he knew that because there were times he was there because he stated Jodi had moved back into her room and cut off all sex.

JA had a roommate for 3 weeks and the roommate's mom was on DD this week. The girl didn't come on DD herself but her mother said that men were coming and going from the apartment at all hours of the day and night.

The roommate couldn't take it and left after 3 weeks, according to her mother. The mother also indicated they believed there was a need to take out a protection order against JA - but they did not follow up and get the PFA.

I do believe that if there were really Mormon men instructing JA on the steps to become a Mormon the defense would have gone through hell and high water to have one or more of them called to the stand.

Usually yes the DP phase would begin as soon as a Guilty in the First Degree is obtained. That would last usually 2 weeks, where all mitigating and aggragating factors are gone over with a fine tooth comb, and she will call all character witnesses to what a good person she was before this and why she should be allowed to Live.

I hope she gets the needle, I hope this case is swift in bringing us that ultimate Juror decision. Her crime was viscous and heinous. JA completely over thought her own actions; and in doing so hung herself. They do say the more complicated the person, the more complicated the crime. This is true in JA's case. She is no Eisenstein; her stupidity shows at every turn. Her personality reminds me soley of Susan Atkins. I grew up being exposed to those girls and that trial in the news, and I see many similarities in Jodi and Susan. It's actually quite scary and I'm glad she has a stun belt on as well as her leg brace. She is dangerous and no one should ever treat her as if she isn't. I was happy to see the Guard take his place, (finally) right next to her, that was lacking during this trial.

I'm happy to see that Judge S has finally taken a stance on the timing of her case; getting people to be on time, this needs to continue in the DP phase. So that it will be swift. The jurors have much more to do; and much more time to give to this farce of a "defense team." I still feel it's the worst defense team I've ever seen.

well, we now know the judge is capable of managing the schedule when she wants to. i only wish she'd done that throughout the whole trial. and i hope it continues because it's may, school will be out and these poor jurors really need to get back to their lives.

and i agree----the only attorney i've seen worse than these 2 was the psycho nut job in the SF dog mauling case. she was horrible. but she was kind of hilariously horrible.
these 2 aren't funny at all. they just suck.

The theory of a ritualistic killing has been around for a while but I overlooked it. Now after comparing the stab wounds, the evidence and especially the defendants psychopathy, it makes a lot of sense. And at the very least, gives you something to think about.

On one of the programs a few weeks ago, it might have been on the "Kenda" show. BUT, he basically said, everyone around that area knows, "if ya wanna hide something, go to Crater Lake". I immediately thought of MM.

This is what I'm pondering. Perhaps AFTER she's convicted, she might just spill her guts about the gun, etc. Maybe to take someone else down with her. Like MM for getting rid of it. But, still sticking to her whatever the defense "fantasy du jour" is this Sunday morning.

I'm sorry, but I just keep thinking that MM has something to do with this. AND, I apologize before hand if he's not.

Last night I got to the point of thinking how can that live with himself IF IF IF he's involved with helping her in ANY way.

I think we don't see his right hand cause it is up in a defense position , this could have been right before the defense wounds to his hands happened .

Morning! This happened to me too. Did you check to make sure that the extension is .jpg? Mine was a .jpg or so I thought but when I checked it, it said jpg.crdownload or something like that, so I just deleted that extra part and made it .jpg and it worked. Hope this helps!

I've never connected the photo to the case (in court) or thought about whether Juan would mention it or not. I've always thought it was just after-the-fact speculation on the internet. If it was sent to Juan and he decided not to use it, I'm sure it's because he couldn't easily and legitimately connect it to Jodi's story. He'd have to have proof that she'd seen it, minimum. If it had been the pic in the closet, that might've been dramatic. But if it wasn't/isn't it would have looked a little "farfetched" for Juan to argue. Especially in light of the evidence he does have. jmo

It occurred to me yesterday that something Travis wrote in his online blog might have been a clue to what he was so angry about. Probably not, but here goes...JUST SPECULATING BELOW...no basis in fact...

It was something similar to that. Well, what if JA ran her own website for $? I believe there used to be subscription or pay-per-view websites, maybe still are, where a woman would video-chat online with men, and the men could watch her do 'whatever'. Maybe JA was doing this for income.

I thought of this b/c of Travis' "webcam" comment, and also the court's refusal to allow any of her financial records into trial. She seemed to have some money sometimes and an Infiniti. Also, she was private and secretive. She even had her own room when she lived with Darryl. She wouldn't let her parents visit/stay with her. If she had this type of online life, she would need privacy.

If TA found out, he would feel duped that he had been carrying on with a quasi sex worker, (thus the "dildo with a heartbeat" and "*advertiser censored*" comments). And by threatening to expose her, she felt the need to take action to protect her secret.

And this would have been very prejudicial, I think the defense attorneys would say, so they would have kept this from being presented in court.

Does anyone know the date Travis wrote that statement online, and where he posted it? I would be curious how close in time it was to May 2008.

I just wanted to say I'm sorry for the loss of your Dad. My Mom was my best friend too so I completely understand how it feels to miss him all the time.
I also agree about the size of her hands not mattering; she slaughtered him plain and simple. Rage and adrenaline can give the smallest of women/men strength and that girl was and still is full of rage.
Today I will do my best to fast (health issues make a real fast out of the question but I will do what I can) as well as Pray and keep a candle lit for Travis. Hopefully tomorrow will be the day.
(ps:I'm not always as on top of my PM's as I want to be these days,please forgive me, I'm having such a hard time with the cards I need to send out from my Mom's passing that my mind isn't completely here. One day at a time I guess)

I've read this over and over here. I have large hands myself, they are my dear father's hands and every time I look at them I think of my Dad and thank God I have something physical that reminds me of him. He was my best friend and I miss him all the time.

Size of hands mean nothing obviously. I wish people would stop posting about such physical attributes related to JA. None of it matters. If she had hands the size of a child's she still would have butchered and slaughtered TA.

I was thinking last night about the whole death penalty thing.
I feel 100% confident all the elements are there for Murder 1. I'm not so sure about the jury going with the DP. I think they will convict her of M1, but the concession will be made in the sentencing.

I feel like her bizarre behavior and the BPD PTSD stuff will leave some lingering concern with the jury that there's some mental illness present.

That said .. as much as we want the DP ... I hate the idea of her going all Carla Faye Tucker and getting more attention after sentencing. Not to mention the DRAIN on the state that the appeals process will undoubtedly cause. It's not the worse thing in my mind for her to get LWOP and just rot for the rest of her life and for the Alexander family to never have to go through any of that.

So agree with the secret life of JA - and I do remember her parents, maybe her mother say she would not let her visit for fear they would go through her things - they knew she was hiding things.
