idk, but from what i read jodi has to wait in the holding cell because of security reasons, so they don't have to have a bailiff assigned to her - so idk if she is allowed to wait in courtroom - especially since there are other cases going on imo

She's not allowed in the Courtroom till right before the jury is brought back.

Will the jurors be taking a mid-afternoon break?
I'm sure HLN will let us know with "BREAKING NEWS" -- bathroom break and snack time!

My stomach is a mess and if you people keep talking about your delicious dishes, I'm resorting to eating ice cream out of the container (and blaming you all)!

I can't have ice cream, so do you mind having some for me too. :blowkiss:

I know I'm no help :giggle:

Scot here too, by lineage. I was born and raised here in the US though. I have been all over Scotland and I absolutely adore it!! Now I want an Irn-Bru:seeya:

LOL........Irn Bru......good for a hangover with a bacon sandwich :blushing:

Scotland is on my "bucket list." :blushing:

Hope you get over there one day.

As much as Jodi lied and as cold as she was in court, that is all I would need for a guilty 1st deg murder! What is the problem here!?

I just hope they are just needing to discuss it with each other for a while, I know I would want to do that, I think, after not being able to discuss it with the other jurors.

Don't you have any vacation days available? :giggle:

Haha I wish!!! But this is the first day back from a 4 day national holiday. No way I can call in unfortunately. I'll be checking secretly at my desk. Nobody will be able to tell what I'm doing anyway

Someone on HLN earlier said that the jurors had to pay for their own lunches today. If AZ Lawyer is out there, please answer this for me. Why do they have to pay for their own lunch today, they are still working for the State! I realize this is a small thing, but it seems unfair to me. Haven't they given enough?
:banghead:

Has the jury had to pay for their lunch every day while on duty or just today? That is very expensive! Shame on the State of Arizona if that is true!

I want that excited announcement that people are running into the courtroom

While we wait....Here is an interesting question for everyone

If Casey Anthony had been found guilty, would we be as nervous as we are right now regarding the Jodi Arias verdict?

(I have to keep reminding myself it was just one ((really)) bad verdict....and take a deep breath)

well for me that is an issue-it made me doubt everything sensible at a bad time in my life
bad memories

Many of us think that after four months of not being able to talk about the case with each other, they actually want to talk about the case with each other.

Wouldn't be surprised if there are some tears shed too. Think about the brutality of this crime and the demeanor of the witness, some of the sketchy stuff we've seen during this trial. Holding that inside for all these months. Just as we come here for confirmation of facts or affirmation of interpretation, these people may very well have the same needs.

As long as the verdict in guilty of first degree murder, this is all that matters to me.

Little Debbie peanut butter bar here. Ice cream is in the freezer!

ETA: and I can run to Target to get more if the need arises! Abt 15 minutes round trip!

NO! We would still have faith in justice - mine and so many others' was shaken and somewhat destroyed by that verdict. My nervousness has everything to do with the CA verdict. I had never been so sure of anything in my life - and I was so wrong. The shock was enormous, I was in a daze, in disbelief, in tears. Talk about PTSD! This is a perfect example. I keep having visions of the judge reading a not guilty verdict and Jodi just smirking.

i would be - i have been disillusioned ever since OJ :(

So basically it's:

Not Guilty
Manslaughter
M1
M2

Is that right?

Yea, or maybe:
Not Guilty
Manslaughter
M2
M1-1st degree or felony

And Juan pointed out that there's supposed to go from M1 down..so that if they agree on M1, then there's no reason for them to discuss the other options. They can't go from manslaughter and work up.

Per diems (in this case $12) are typically used to cover meals (lunch).

#JodiArias #FOX10 207p Jury still deliberating inside courthouse. All quiet here. Quiet before the eventual storm.

A woman gave JVM a poster with some of her thoughts about the trial.
This woman had some very good points. One was if Jodi came out of the fog in the car and discovered she had blood on her hands, why was there no trail of bloody hand prints in the house as she was leaving Travis's house?

I can answer that for myself. The answer is NO, I wouldnt be as nervous. That destroyed my faith in the justice system I am afraid. Maybe it can be restored with this verdict.
