It's' so peaceful at my house.

No tv on, windows open, lawns being mowed in the distance.

The Abaroa trial is on their lunch break, 20 more minutes

DEFENDANT’S MOTION FOR DISCOVERY OF VICTIM IMPACT EVIDENCE

The defense wants to know what the state plans to put forth in the penalty phase.. They are looking for discoverable information.

Maybe I have no common sense or simply do not understand the legal process but the DT wants the family to have to give up their feelings for Jodi, Nurmi and Jennifer to look at under a microscope and object to before they can even express them and I feel it's wrong.

NOT OK!

Jodi is just going to have to sit there and deal with whatever she is going to hear. She will at that time be CONVICTED. The real victims have paid their dues ten fold already. They've had to sit with their faces stoic, stifle their cries (while her mother rolls her eyes) walk out when they could no longer stomach the photos, forced to remove ribbons and buttons. Forced to leave their jobs and find a way to stay three states away while they care for their families to be there for their brother. They have gone through enough and should not legally be manipulated anymore. The laws need to stop working for the convicted and start working for the victims.

This is Jodi. She can't handle not being in control. She can't handle anyone attempting to ruin her reputation. Tough. I knew long ago the worse part of this trial for her would be victim impact for loss of control. Heaven forbid anyone speak badly of her or finally get to tell her how they feel about her horrific actions.

Please judge, do not make me go outside and scream my head off before I can function.

......I think it's great that the jurors maintain their style....can you imagine if they all started dressing like the Mitigation Specialist all of a sudden...
:drama:
I so agree...yesterday she had on that red dress that looked like she was auditioning for West Side Story! A great dance dress, but for court? Not so much, IMO

Now she is an employee of the court.....but I guess she isn't breaking any rules. As a court employee it surprises me she hasn't.

my hubby gets mad when I say this, but "A snoring Pug is adorable, a snoring husband is NOT!" LOL

I used to gripe about Mr Red's snoring. Then I saw a Family Circus cartoon where the mom was complaining to grandma about the dad's snoring. The grandma replied that she would LOVE to be able to hear her deceased husband's snoring. I always think of that. even when he and the dog snore in tandem. We have a chow -they have the same shortened airway issues as the pugs- and she snores right along with him.

I have no cats ... Just a little Yorkie who seems to have the ability to manufacture his own body weight in poop every day... I will scoop it in solidarity!

BBM
:floorlaugh::floorlaugh: I have 4 chihuahua's who do the same. Where in the heck does it come from? They eat like 3 kibbles and they're full!?!

I hope that hard azz cement gives her butt sores all over!!

In order to stay somewhat hip as I get older I vowed....never to wear stretch pants, never to wear polyester knit, always to wash and do my own hair, never have beehive hairdos, never to stop wearing blue jeans, never wear pants that are too short with white socks and sanders, never wear kneehighs with a dress that's too short, never to have a slip hanging below my skirt/dress, stop wearing makeup to avoid putting eyeshadow over my eyebrows and lipstick far out away from lips, never wear granny underwear, never wear sweats 24 hours a day or sweat pants with a dress shirt. Etc. Etc. Etc.

no muumuus either!

I have one too and they are handfuls, for sure!! I call her my dorkie. :D

I'm 68 years old. Everything that's being done today sexually, politically, technically, I did in the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's 00's, and some of it, I am still doing. So are my friends. We are hip, active. I wish people would knock off the old-folks stereotype talk! AND.....I started using computers before Windows was invented. Anyone remember DOS?

Yes, I'm in my mid 40's and the kids at work think I rode a dinosaur around in my youth. "Listen up, children, chemistry was not nearly as difficult a subject when I was your age because we only had 5 elements to worry about, Earth, Water, Air, Fire, and Aether"

I want to be a part of this solidarity... but I don't want to scoop any poop or scrub toilets.... is there anything I can do that involves, oh say, not moving from the couch or indulging in something sweet and chocolate? :p

Knit!!

They're probably using due diligence so they don't become laughingstocks, as some recent jurors did after rendering a very controversial verdict.

If I was on the jury, I would request 10 - 12 hour days until we reached a verdict. I know money is an issue for the courts to provide employees and security but 5 hours a day is totally ridiculous and just prolongs what should be a 2 -3 day (or less) verdict.

:stormingmad::stormingmad:

Couldn't agree more..In fact, they can have lunch brought in, deliberate while eating, give the smoker an e-cig, porta potties even, maybe?

I would do exactly as this jury is doing. Set my hours with my fellow jurors for what works best for me/the group and not cowtow to the public's demands. The public would have zero impact on how I would proceed or how I would do the work I was drafted to do. It obviously wasn't a priority for court testimony hours to be held more than 5 hours a day, max. It's tiring being in all-day meetings.

As a spectator of course I want them to come back right away, but if I put myself in their place I would take whatever time was needed to get the job done and too bad if people outside didn't like it.

Wha???? That is everything I'm looking forward to!

No, it's not. There's a lot of people that don't like her that have followed her, as well as a lot of media. Plus some fans. JA would be loving this infamy and that makes me sick.

:seeya: It makes me sick also ! This should NOT be allowed !
