Search enters 2nd day for Portland climber missing on Washington Cascade peak
"The search for a missing 33-year-old Portland mountain climber and musician resumed Tuesday morning in the central Washington Cascades, official said.
Chelan County Sheriff's officials say Adam Ochshorn, a Portland piano teacher and jazz drummer, on Friday planned to hike to Colchuck Lake, camp overnight then Saturday climb the North Buttress Couloir route to reach the 8,705-foot summit of Colchuck Peak. He planned to return late Saturday or early Sunday from the excursion in the mountains west of Wenatchee, Washington.
Ochshorn's car was found at a trailhead in the Bridge Creek Campground, and the search began early Monday. Sheriff's search volunteers, including climbers with Chelan County Mountain Rescue and a Snohomish County Sheriff's helicopter crew, worked throughout the day in and around the climbing route to find him but were unsuccessful."
