Great reading skill! It's kind of consipicuous that WC used the word "they." It indicates that she knows/believes that at least 2 perps were involved in MC's death.

"They" doesn't always indicate plurality.

Example: One of our members posted this earlier, "Very interesting observation! Somebody didn't "think" before they spoke! (bold emphasis mine.)

"They" is often used when someone doesn't know the person(s) they are referring to; whether it's male(s) or female(s); or one person or more.

Say, hypothetically, the fuel storage tank on my property had been tampered with and fuel stolen. I might say to the police, "When they came on the property to steal the gas, it had to be dark or I would have seen them."

"They" doesn't necessarily indicate more than one person. (And neither does 'them') ;)

KWIM?

How do you view the inmate list???

Not sure if I am allowed to post the link on here, but it is publicly accessible through the Chelan County Law and Justice website, link on right hand side that says "Current Inmate Population."

Thousands of dollars leaving Lowe's? MC making phone calls to Lowe's? JF going through bankruptcy? Was JF actings as the fence for the stolen merchandise with MC as the middle-(wo)man? Anyone know if new tools were being hawked on craigslist from JF? Maybe taking them to the Seattle area to sell?

Did it all fall through with MC not wanting to go down with the team? Wanting to tell her side to police? One of them got found out and wasn't willing to let it happen?

After some checking it doesn't sound like CR or DR were employees at Lowes. Recently or in the past.

JMO: Keep in mind when you are coming up with theories, that the simpler the theory the more plausible.

If in fact she washed her car, why? Think of the reasons for you to wash your car? Trying to impress someone?

If you were going to kill someone would you do it in her car, during the day, at the park, behind offices that are currently full? If you did kill her at this location in her car, would you move the body to another car? The area by the dock is one of the most traveled sections of the park.

If the murder wanted to dump a body into the river he picked one of the worse places in the area. Correct me if I am wrong, but the reason CB exists is the sand bar. The reason the sand bar accumulated in that area is that section of the Columbia has some of the slowest flowing water. While taking the body further down stream in a boat would make sense, it would be suspicious for anyone but a hunter to be on the river during that week.

Put yourself in their position and think out what you would do; that is how you are going to find this murder.

Where did we come up the Lowes connection?

Mackenzie had calls to Lowe's from her cell phone in the days (week) prior to her murder. LE was questioning her friends about this.
Lowe's was questioned as to the sale of a certain "tool" or supplies that were purchased.

What if the killer had the intention of dumping her body into the river? Other people have died on the river while partying on boats and their bodies were never found. They may have had this intention but then realized a speed boat would look suspicious when all of the rest of the boats on the water were fishing boats so they were planning on going back and moving the body again but someone discovered her before they could do that.

Does anyone know anything about certain people owning boats? Particularly fishing boats?

purchased or carried?

"In thread 4 I stated that the FBI had been to a local "home improvement" store. Ding, ding, ding!! You named it. Obviously the person didn't give me exact details, but "supplies" used are thought to have been purchased from
there. Also, the park that she was last seen at extends all the way down the river breaking up into a few parks. Walla Walla being one of those sits directly in front of Lowes. Not sure if that helps, but I tried" MissAnonymous

You may.

I think a big issue here is we still haven't determined where this original crime took place. Crime scene #3 is CB (body found) Crime scene #2 is Spec home (foot print on carpet, blood??) Maybe perp was returning a tool that he took from there. Crime scene #1. Where could someone perform such a (alleged) heinous act. The amount of blood, bodily fluids would have been extensive.

I'd be really, really surprised if someone was stealing thousands of dollars of merchandise from Lowe's by putting things down the trash chute.

I work for one of Lowe's competitors, and we have a locked, enclosed trash chute that leads to a compactor. Only a "key carrier" can unlock the chute and must remain present while stuff is thrown into it. Then it is locked again.

And everything that goes down it is compacted.

I would be amazed if Lowe's didn't have a similar system.
