Authorities said Johnson has not been in contact with her family or friends since she was last seen, and her phone is turned off.

Mary may also use the name Davis. She is 5'6", 100-115 lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes. She may wear eyeglasses.

Anyone else find it strange that the husband reported her missing 8 days after she was last seen? I used to live on fire trail road. It is long, steep, and is not walking friendly (though people still do). I'm curious what area of the road she was meeting this friend, and why it wouldn't have been easier to pick her up elsewhere.

There aren't many details surrounding this case. I'm also curious if a search party has or will be set up for her. The area she disappeared in is a heavily wooded area. I hope she is found safe.

An Indigenous woman went missing in November. The FBI is now offering $10,000 for information about her disappearance.

Johnson's sisters were only made aware of her disappearance after Johnson's estranged husband told them she had been gone longer than usual.

Tulalip Tribal Police Chief Chris Sutter told the outlet that the department knows of three people who saw Johnson on Firetrail Road the day she disappeared. The department's phone record searches indicate she may have been transported to Oso, Washington, which is about 30 miles northeast of the reservation.

"But she never made it to her final destination," Sutter told KING-5. "She was attempting to go visit some people who she knew in that area."

What a confusing case. So the husband was the last to see her? And what friend was she meeting, why would they not just pick her up. And if he waited that long to tell anyone she was missing then its kinda suspicious and think we all know the answer..

This casts a different light on things.

But things went awry on November 25, and Sallee said Johnson’s friend backtracked on the offer to give her and the second man a ride. Johnson set out toward the church on foot around 1:30 p.m., and the second man also started walking away from the house.

A third man who was set to pick Johnson up at the church and take her to Oso eventually drove by and saw her walking on Fire Trail Road with the man who also wanted a ride, Sallee said. He indicated he only had enough room in his vehicle for one person and kept on going, ultimately declining to give her a ride.

Johnson never made it to the couple’s house in Oso, Sallee said. But before she disappeared she left that couple a voicemail, desperation in her voice as she urged them to pick up, according to records obtained by The Everett Herald. She also made another call around 2:30 p.m. — the woman who picked up reportedly said to police that she told Johnson she was too busy to speak.

Why do people think these women are disposable?? This woman needed help, and no one was there for her.
I have to go look at maps to understand whether she would have gone back to her husband's home out of desperation, or, if she was a sitting duck for the 'other man' who kept following her.

Edit: corrected typo.

On November 24, a day before she was last seen, Sallee said her estranged husband dropped her off with a suitcase at a friend’s house on the Tulalip reservation. Johnson stayed there overnight, and planned the next day to head to the house of a couple she knew in Oso about 30 miles away.

Johnson’s sisters, Davis and Blouin, are trying to stay positive — though they’re also mentally preparing for the worst.

They’re heartened by all the people who have shared the poster with Johnson’s picture on their social media accounts. They’re asking everyone to keep their eyes out for a 5-foot-6, 115 pound woman with black hair and brown eyes, a sunburst tattoo on her upper right arm and a beauty mark on the back of her neck. And they want law enforcement to deploy every possible resource at their disposal — because Native women deserve the same respect and compassion as anyone else.

“My sister is a wonderful person and we all love her dearly,” Blouin said. “If you have any information, please just reach out to your local law enforcement, the Seattle FBI or the Tulalip PD. Bring her home. We miss her.”

"Estranged husband" is always a red flag.

Something about "estranged husbands" turns violent way too often.

Hoping Mary is found soon.

Mary Johnson: The last time anyone saw Johnson was in Washington state on Nov 25, 2020. The 40-year-old woman was walking along the Firetrail Road on the Tulalip Reservation, where she’s a citizen. Ten months later, the FBI announced it would offer a $10,000 reward for any info on her disappearance. While her family and advocates reportedly welcome the FBI’s move, they wonder why it took so long.

A year after Mary Johnson's disappearance, federal officials are finally acting on America's missing Indigenous people crisis - CNN
Mary Johnson was on her way to a friend's home in Oso, Washington, the day before Thanksgiving, but she never made it. A year later, her disappearance remains a mystery.

Johnson, then 39 years old and an enrolled citizen of the Tulalip Tribes, was last seen on the reservation on November 25, 2020.

Even though family members have posted flyers, put up a billboard on a local interstate, and a reward for information was offered by the FBI, Johnson, like many other missing Indigenous women in the United States, has not been found.

"At this point, we're information-driven, any information we get is followed up on, but leads are harder and harder to find as we get further along," said Wayne Schakel, a detective sergeant with the Tulalip Tribal Police Department.
