On Monday, deputies got a tip to do a welfare check for Oakley by a concerned citizen.

When deputies went to the home, they say her parents couldn’t reasonably explain where she was.

Deputies, troopers and the FBI have been searching the 300-acre property where neighbors saw cadaver dogs.

Deputies say on Thursday divers will be searching a flooded area on the property.

“We’re really concerned for her safety and her well-being and we just don’t know what that is at this point,” said Grays Harbor County Undersheriff Brad Johansson.

Bowers has a criminal history involving felony convictions for drugs and theft.

Neighbors say they called 911 many times after the couple had explosive fights.

The foster parents say they alerted the Washington State Department of Children, Youth and Families concerned about Oakley and her three siblings, with no luck.

Where is Oakley Carlson? Search amps up for missing 5-year-old as parents remain uncooperative

The mystery of it all was made worse with investigators now looking into a fire that happened at the couple’s home in mid-November. A ******** account was set up by a friend of the couple, showing the damage to the home. It explained the parents didn’t call 911 because they couldn’t find their phones.

"It’s unusual that a fire department wasn’t called, I would say," Johansson said.

But Jamie Jo did call the Department of Children Youth and Families (DCYF) right before Thanksgiving to express concerns about Oakley when she saw the ******** account. The account is no longer active.

"If no one has seen her, what could have happened to her? Was it the fire? Was it something else,"
Jamie Jo asked.

The foster parents say they called DCYF not just last month, but in January of 2021 when they became suspicious after getting some news about Oakley.

From this article "The Grays Harbor Sheriff’s Office said they only found out about Oakley two days ago when an associate of Bowers and Carlson called to say they had not seen Oakley in a while."

and

"FOX 13 also filed public disclosure requests, hoping to uncover how DCYF handled Oakley’s case."

And the fact that they had a house fire and didn't call 911 and this little girl hasn't been seen since around that time is very disturbing. Was the house fire an attempt to cover something up? Was she injured in the house fire? Were they high at the time and that's why they didn't call 911? Who doesn't call 911 when their house is on fire???

Digging...for a 5-year-old. Let that one sink in. :(

... The Grays Harbor Sheriff’s Office says Oakley’s parents, Jordan Bowers and Andrew Carlson, remain uncooperative about the little girl’s whereabouts and the time frame of when she went missing.

Since the parents are being held on suspicion of manslaughter I would imagine LE is believing precious Oakley to be deceased. They most certainly have their reasons. The fact that the parents are not cooperative says a great deal in itself. Any normal human would want their child found. JMO

My heart hurts for this loving couple who cared for Sweet Oakley for so long. Then was ignored so many times when calling doing everything in their power to uphold their duty as mandatory reporters to do right by Oakley. So disgusted with CPS, and whatever judge that signed Oakley's warrant. So absolutely disgusted. They had the ultimate power in all this. MOO

Everyone except the lovely foster parents and the good samaritan who raised the alarm failed this poor little girl.

The “parents” won’t say where she is; they were probably so high they don’t even know. No one else has come forward saying they have her and there’s no way a 5-year-old could survive 15 days on her own, especially in winter weather in Grays Harbor. I’m afraid this will have a bad end.

Just so precious. :(

Those parents scream sketchy. The fire was probably an attempt at insurance. Started by them. MOO. There are so many red flags here. Another child has been failed. Is it laziness? Just simply not caring? Someone needs to do what CPS is supposed to do...to CPS. You hear reports, you investigate, find out what the issue is and do what needs to be done. CPS needs to be investigated. Everyone involved needs to be held accountable for whatever we may learn about Little Oakley's situation. JMO MOO

As long as the State of WA (and most other states) continue to put the parents rights and needs above the child's safety this will continue to happen. Foster parents have to constantly fight to try to protect these children and get them any help they need and ultimately have zero say. The State is all about the parents rights and helping the parents. Being a foster parent is an eye opening experience. How this system works is not what most people perceive it to be. It is absolutely not all about protecting children. MOO

I can't help but wonder if the male DNA Donor Was in good with the judge, being as he used to a cop. Poor little Angel didn't stand a chance. The cards were stacked against her from the start. MOO

I would encourage everyone to listen in on some court hearings for children in foster care. Many are on Zoom now and are open to the public. You would need to follow a case from beginning to end to really understand. People need to know what is going on. And the push for reunification just got even bigger (at least here in WA state).
