UPDATE:
Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances of this death. An autopsy was performed this morning but did not provide any clear information regarding the cause of death. The body is of a male approximately 4' 11" to 5' 2" and was found wearing a black tee shirt with purple lettering. Information has been coming in regarding missing persons in the region and our detectives are following up on those leads. Our Office will continue to provide updates as new information becomes available.

Circumstances of Recovery Mainly skeletonized human remains were located near the shoreline of the Scootney Reservoir. The remains have been identified as male.

Identified as missing person Antonio Juanes Gaspar, 39, of Othello, Washington. He had come to the area from Guatemala to look for work. Rest in peace Antonio

It seems like police might have already knew the body was that of Gaspar since he was reported missing in August 2021. Good job Othram for confirming this assertion.
