Hi everyone, I've been a long term lurker and finally decided to join. For what it's worth, I believe Burke killed JonBenet. I'm so disappointed that there are no plans to screen any of the new shows in the UK, where I'm from. I hope you guys can keep me to speed!

I am hoping some kind individual will upload the CBS show somewhere, I am so eager to watch it!

The Today show WDIV has an excerpt from the Dr. PHil show with Burke on today. It's on the 7:00 eastern show about 35 minutes into it if anyone DVRs it. VEry interesting. It gives a good idea of what to expect on BRs demeanor.

So the family was going to be split apart as a result of that one bad out-of-control moment and the only way to prevent that was to make it appear (or try to) it was someone outside (an intruder) who did this awful deed. I'm not excusing it or saying it was okay, but I'm understanding the trajectory of what I think occurred and seeing the tragedy and sadness (more than feeling anger).

I agree with you M74, and I think it's crucial to have some empathy in the absence of certainty. Though we all have our theories, it's impossible to say which one is true without a confession or irrefutable scientific evidence.

The only thing I can't get over is if this was an accident and they had to stage the crime to suggest an intruder, did they really have to violate her like that? Even if she wasn't conscious, what happened to her body was degrading and terrible. IMO, by covering it up the way they did, the parents were absolutely selfish and cruel. They did what they did to save their own hides with very little concern for how it would tarnish JBR's life and memory. Even if it was to save their son or cover up a tragic accident, I just don't see the need to carry that out in the twisted way they did.

I have no idea. But I do know that his voice was on that 911 call, that he wasn't asleep the entire time, and both Ramsey's lied about that.

just watched the clip
dr.phil says they were talking about some dark areas and BR is smiling...
and yeah he IS smiling while talking about that horrible morning...take a look

Whoa, he is a strange bird, isn't he? The grinning & smiling like this is something amusing... Atypical is an understatement.

After reading Kolar's book I came to the conclusion that BR could be and should be included in the suspect list. I never considered a 9 yr old sibling as being the perp, but it would put JR & PR's behaviors in a context that makes sense. The over-protective parents who whisked the remaining child away...I think this could have been all about saving the 9 yr old BR.

I could have been wrong when I said that it was a smart move to allow or make him go public.after seeing those clips...how old is he?29? he still acts like he is nine.sorry.nothing to smile about when you talk about the murder of your sister.imo of course

And asked about the drawing where he left off JBR and he shrugged and said 'don't know what was going through my head but she was gone'.

I am finding the speculation about Burke having autism even more believable after watching that. He certainly does not come across as neurotypical

FWIW, my brother is what I call an 'inappropriate smiler.' He smirks a lot - A LOT - especially when he is emotional (sad, scared, nervous, etc.). When he would get yelled at as a kid, he would always laugh, which always got him into more trouble. It was totally out of his control, and he still does it as a grown man. It's like a nervous tick.

Not refuting any points being brought up here about BR...just throwing in my two cents. I haven't seen the clips being referenced.

Wow. I find that clip quite disturbing. To be fair, he may just be super nervous but I think there's more to it than that and I think Dr Phil alludes to it. Notice he makes a point of saying he works remotely, not in an office and is socially awkward?!

JMOO, I always thought that PR was over tired, over whelmed with Christmas, parties, the perfect family, cancer & getting ready for 2 trips.
children got their second spurt of energy..........
sibling rivalry, started in kitchen (pineapple) they snuck to basement for more presents with the flashlight.
Got into a fight, he hit with the flashlight, she screamed...
PR was in the other room wrapping more presents, send BR to bed.
Maybe even put JBR back to bed. JBR soiled herself, needed cleaned up....PR went into a rage.......
JBR started to die and JR came to action with staging to hide all the abuse and save BR from LE and press.
Both parents had to get their stories straight and save face. (4 months to talk to LE)
I wonder if BR was always in the background without much attention..........full of anger that was ignored JMOO

I think it could be a nervous tick. I've seen people act similarly, what to us would be inappropriately, but to them is a nervous habit. It reminds me of the Barenaked Ladies song - One Week: "Trying hard not to smile though I feel bad,
I'm the kind of guy who laughs at a funeral"
Burke strikes me as the kind of guy who laughs at a funeral. But I also think he did it so... nervous tick and guilty?

1 teaser clip I saw on TV Dr Phil asks him if he hit his sister with a baseball bat............that night? or before?
I had heard a golf club weeks before JBR death.......anyone remember?

He does have weird behavior that would easily suggest some kind of autism spectrum disorder, maybe Asperger's. He was allegedly receiving psychological care at a young age, even before JBR's death (source: Kolar's book). That "atypical" behavior as Dr. Phil refers to it, doesn't help him. This makes me think maybe, just maybe, it was BR who inflicted that first blow, some moment of rage of something (a toy, who knows).

Let's say for a moment it was BR who killed JBR with a blow to the head. What do you think should happen to him now (assuming such a thing could ever be proven)?

I think some answers could be in B.R.'s childhood psychiatric medical information which is sealed.

What I don't understand is when it is stated that the dog is "JonBenet's dog". To me that is extremely unusual - a dog is usually always a family dog.
Especially when there is another child (B.R.) in the family. Is there a reason why this dog was only deemed "JonBenet's" dog?

I can sort of see this only if there were two dogs and JonBenet primarily was with the one. But I cannot see how a dog is deemed a dog of
one child only when there are other children in the house. This always bothered me.

Even if only one child bothered with the dog it is usually referred to as the "family dog".

This always stood out to me. Is there a possibility that he demonstrated cruelty at an even earlier age than 9? Just a thought about
something that didn't make sense to me.

Sadly, he reminds me of the character Sheldon............so perfect, every hair, the smile..........odd.
The setting looks like a livingroom not on a stage, why so nervous? I'm sure there would be many takes and sensored.......not live.
Medication?
