If I "pimp" my daughter (uggghhh shutter) out to my cousin for some money to buy some drugs, that is trafficking.
I didn't know that until Shaniya's case.

But, anytime you take money for letting someone "rape" your child, you are trafficking your child.

I'm not saying EB did this, but it seems like a possible theory to me.

Possible, yes !! Anything is in this crazy case... but I think it was unlikely. I don't think anyone in this situation had much, if any, money to speak of.
 
Are these guys brothers, the ones named in the warrant?
 
I think they had drugs.
To an addict, that's worth more than money.

Drug stuff was found in the house. From the looks of EB's mugshot, she has been using "something". How was she paying for it?

Shaniya's "mother" didn't have any money either. She didn't need any. She let her dealer rape and kill her child and he gave her drugs.

It happens A LOT.
 
I hope that it is not a human trafficking or internet *advertiser censored* case. IMHO

That is only if money was changing hands but I don't think that is the case here.

IMHO "someone" was "cooking" - manufacturing, if you will. EB was either "delivery gal" or just gave access to Zahra to get "her cut" of the "finished product. KWIM?

That's what I'm thinking.

And that would be considered trafficking.

These "parents" seem to be capable of anything IMO.
 
The two people mentioned in the docs are now fair game. I had this confirmed by higher ranking mods, just to make sure.
 
It just gets worse as time goes on. I cannot imagine a mother giving her child to some pervert for any reason. I guess to get drugs they do anything. This probably happens more than we want to know, the kids are not killed and they just live that way, possibly having kids and repeating the cycle. Makes me so sad and I have a hard time processing this.
 
I'm not trying to make this about Shaniya, but if EB did in fact let people abuse Zahra for drugs or money, the cases are very similar.

I am going to go to Shaniya's thread and pull what AD's charges are. I think this would be relevant esp since this is in NC.

Ok, so AD traded sex with her daughter for drugs and these were her charges...

human trafficking-261 months in prison (21 years & 9 months)
felony child abuse/prostitution-98 months (8 years & 2 months)
resisting officer-60 days (2 months)
false report-60 days (2 months)

A thread for discussing the docs, re: rape report, aside from issues of human trafficking.
 
I doubt this was human trafficking and more to do with drugs and the connections via that aspect MOO
 
A lot of the time people consider human trafficking as selling kids to some kind of ring where they are passed around and bought and sold.

But human trafficking is happening in almost every town in this country. When a mom can't pay her car note and lets someone abuse her child for money to pay it. Or when a drug addict needs a fix and lets the perverted neighbor abuse his/her child for drugs. Or when food is needed in a poor family, the kids are sometimes looked at as a form of payment.

It happens. I never knew it was considered trafficking until about a year ago. And it is.

In NC, last November, a mom handed her 5 year old to her dealer for payment of the drugs she had ingested the night before. That child was raped, killed, and dumped off of a highway. She is dead. The mother has been charged with human trafficking and child prostitution.

I was amazed while researching that case when I found out Baton Rouge is one of the biggest human trafficking/sex trafficking cities in the US. I'm 20 minutes from there. And it has nothing to do with selling children to a ring and shipping them to another state. It has to do with the poor neighborhoods where the children are used for payment for various things.

It's horrible.

ETA: IF EB was using Zahra to pay for her drugs, she was trafficking her. My theory is that EB was on some HEAVY drugs. She has aged decades in a few years. She has lost tons of weight. IMO that points to drug use. They didn't have much. With all the reports of abuse, IMO it is not that big of a stretch to think EB was using Zahra to pay for her drugs. That's where I THINK the trafficking comes in.

IMO EB put this child through HELL.

Also, no one ever saw her at the previous house either (the one with the attic) so maybe this has been going on for a long time as other people have said.
 
I keep thinking how EB was jealous of Zahra and I can't think of any reason she would have wanted her around and not sent her back to Australia unless she had some use for her. Am I getting this case mixed up with some other case? I could swear there was something said in the beginning about EB receiving money from men through the internet. Did anyone else hear this?
