Good morning Websleuthers. I'm teaming up with Tricia, the owner of Websleuths and we are launching an investigative, true crime podcast titled "Into the Case." Our first season we are going to cover the gruesome double murders of Shirley and Russell Dermond, an elderly couple that lived on Georgia's Lake Oconee in an exclusive community. Russell Dermond was beheaded, his head has never been recovered, while Shirley Dermond was beaten to death.

The first episode drops January 21st. A teaser is out on iTunes / Apple Podcasts.

The last known time the family made any public comments, was in May of last year when WXIA-TV the local NBC affiliate in Atlanta did an interview with their son Mark Dermond.

We will be contacting them to see if they will agree to do an interview on the podcast.
