On the morning of June 3, after visiting with DB, JA makes two deposits into her Washington Mutual accounts. By all accounts, JA is known to have been 'strapped for cash'.... I've read some speculate here that JA may have stolen a ring from TA.

What's the likelihood that she indeed had stolen the ring, and then sold it to DB and the money was actually proceeds from this?

This would be a good reason why DB would want to stay in her 'good graces' and continue to be her ally....because she had him on receiving stolen property.

She stole other goods from her grandparents house and sold those things. Bet she made some money on some quickie booty calls too.

Yeah...she doesn't want to admit to showering and leaving TA's all cleaned up. That wouldn't be good to say since she was in that damn fog

Trust me - there was no fog, it was all crystal clear. Fog is so she can say she doesn't remember any stabbing so she doesn't have to explain it. She remembers all of it.

I sometimes wonder, too, if she threw the gun in the desert or kept it.

I've seen many speculate about Jodi making money in sex but I keep thinking drug trafficking. Yreka area is known for that and her being the "traveler" that she was it could be explained away.

I keep wondering if this could be what she may have been involved in with Matt and Daryl. And God knows she knew how to hide things in her car. The gun she purchased wasn't found until a month later after both the cops and the rental car company had gone through it. Who can do that stuff without having practiced or been trained by a pro?? MOO

Matt and Daryl! Who did she see after making her trip, but before returning the rental car? Detective F told her that the new rental cars had GPS's on them, not the kind she could use, but the kind he could use. She wasn't really fazed by that. I have a feeling that one of them dis-armed the GPS, and then reconnected it before she returned it. That wouldn't make them an accessory before the fact, but what about after the fact? Assuming they thought they were only saving her some fees at the time. But, if they know they are covering up for her after the fact, isn't that a crime? I think I heard that the guy from the rental car company is scheduled to be in the rebuttal. I wonder if this is something he would testify to? If they could have tracked her movements by GPS, it would have come out before this, right? My money is on Matt as the perp. From Jodi's on mouth, he would never betray her!

I remember her saying she had a case or two or Costco water in the trunk of the rental car. Which she used to wash herself with after she "woke up" in the desert having suffered hours of fognesia.

I don't believe for a minute she had a membership at Cosco. Just another lie to cover up how she got the blood off of herself :banghead:

I don't think at first it was her intentions (she has dated all types of men with different "religions")... but when he wouldn't die, she resorted to Plan C- the throat slit. How many women have you heard doing this ever?

I don't think JA did any kind of ritualistic stuff. I think she was just an angry angry bit^^ that killed Travis because he had the audacity to screw up her life plans with him.

Does anyone else like the way the Judge reads out the jurors' questions? Her tone, inflections etc. are perfectly matched to the subject matter in the questions.

I can't wait until this trial is over.

There's two things said, one by TA and one by JA, that I hope the jury considers.

TA: You're the worst thing that has ever happened to me.

JA: If I killed Travis, I would beg for the death penalty.

None. Except maybe Lizzy Borden or Eileen Warnos. Don't remember if they did or not.

Well, fellow WSers,

I really have to cook some dinner.
Thanks for all the great posts.
See you later tonight.

I think 9:00 was in Det. Flores police report. There's no way she wanted to run into a room-mate. She was totally black and white - to be in 3 states and have zero trace in AZ. I don't want to think about what she would do it if she did. She wanted to bring nothing back from AZ and not to leave anything there. She either forgot or couldn't find the check she brought. It was in a desk drawer I believe.

I don't recall discussing any check. I still think that she sneaked around that house all the time and had no fear of running into roommates. She said on the stand that she didn't even recall having fear--oops, anger.

Yes, I was confusing Zach and Enrique. Zach got home at 9pm. Enrique seems confused about his days. his reference to 630pm had to be Tuesday, not wed.

Time for a little JM on Snapped here in Oregon (Lifetime) Wendy Andriano case.

Car guy thought it was Koolaid. Never reported blood.

Blood never goes away, right? So could Juanderful have gotten a look at the rental or had forensics go over it or have *I* been watching too much crime tv. lol

HAHA but.....who said she had to have a membership? I'm sure she had scamming stuff off of other people down to a fine science.

ElleElle, are you saying that women will do something as violent only as a last resort? I think evil women are perfectly capable of slitting throats to torture victims and enjoying every moment.

Remember that the car agency guy said the mats werent returned and there was blood in the back seat. Probably where she threw her wet and bloody clothes

I missed that!

Raphael Colombo testified there were two stains in the car, one in the front passenger seat, one in the back seat in the middle.

When asked about the stains he said he thought it was kool-aid and that the defendant had had children in the car.

His testimony starts within the first few mins.

I like how she reads them too. I also see expressions on her face when she reads them that look like she's desperately trying to refrain from laughing.

I've always thought that she slit his throat to keep him quiet, since he was crawling down the hall and not dying right away.

He had to have been screaming, moaning, something like that...

In a Motion to Withdraw, JA’s former counsel, said that her office previously represented a person in this case and further representation of JA would run a serious risk of violating and/or disclosing confidential information obtained from her former client, may be directly adverse to the former client and may involve the use of information relating to the representation of the former client that would be to their disadvantage.

Since Victoria W. (JA’s prior attorney) practice consists solely of defending persons facing the death penalty or have already been convicted and are in the appeals process, I would love to know what was the information JA acquired and from whom. Pure speculation on my part, but my guess is she got some info from another prisoner who had been a client of Victoria W.

I don't know how big her family's restaurant business is, but small business do buy supplies from Cosco, and that may be the way Jodi got things from there.

No way she had a card in her own name.

The rental car place had the car cleaned long before the police got to it. The car mats were "missing".
