This link tells us where HaLeigh is NOT. That the drugs were found in a vehicle belonging to someone else and that it was parked away from the mobile homes.

In addition, contrary to the hue and cry of posters here.....the Baker County property WAS searched right after HaLeigh went missing. It is wonderful to have absolute facts to post.

I trust the dog's scent! Haleigh is either in the water by the house or traveled by car up HWY 17.

Whisperer....I trust the dogs scent too! Tracking dogs! Have you looked at the route the tracking dogs followed? Have you looked closely at it? It looks like a crazy trail, backtracked in a little circle, Haleigh could have made this track herself. I am sorry but that is what I believe. Trail also goes straight through a registered sex offenders yard!

Haleigh: I am sorry that in 2009, it is easier to believe that Daddy's girlfriend hurt you and hid you and now she hid you so well with the help of her family that NO-ONE even the FBI can find you! I am sorry that it is easier to believe that your Mommy owed back child support and there was a court hearing coming up and she didn't have the money so one of her friends or family took you from Daddy and RJ. I am sorry that it is easier to believe that there was an accident and you were hurt and your Grandma's are trying to cover it up.

All this is easier to believe when there were 44 registered offenders in a 5 mile radius of Haleigh's home. 44 that were known to LE, I wonder about the p-gs that were not known! All that is easier to believe when the home that Ronald rented is owned by a man that has other properties that he rents to REGISTERED offenders. All that is easier to believe when it is a fact that when investigating a missing child case the first thing LE do is look at the 30 days previous to when the child went missing. previous. Not all the stuff that happened 30 days after! Because of drama, emotions and painful, sometimes nutty things that grieving parents might do. Sorry, I just can't believe what some people think is easier to believe happened.

I agree. They checked HWY 17 to crecent city?Did they check the other way towards Palatka with cadaver dogs?Way further up?

LE has tracked every tip they have recieved. They are still doing so even with the heavy caseloads they are carrying.

BBM. If it wasn't for the "family" LE wouldn't have a problem.

My opinion only
I disagree. They did some things during the initial investigation which could have thwarted this case from the beginning. They showed a severe lack of professionalism and judgement when they took the blankets and sheets then laid them on the ramp to allow the dogs to get a cleaner "mark". This possibly and probably destroyed critical evidence.

They should not rely on witness statements..family or not. They should rely on evidence to point them to the truth. Oh, wait...they tossed it outside for the dogs! Oops!

This is a big part of why I do not trust the dogs or their handlers. A trained search and rescue dog is only as good as the handler.

These are the reasons I am very concerned that we will never know what happened to Haleigh. Seems things were botched from the beginning and went downhill from there. I do think they are trying to recover but you can't get back that initial evidence that was possibly destroyed and overlooked.

It really is looking as if we may never find out where Haylee is and what happened to her.

I will never forget her and keep checking every day hoping there is some word of her having been found. My worry now is for Haleigh and no one else.

I wonder if LE is still working this case or has it become a cold case already?
If LE had folded the sheet and blanket up and put them in a bag...taken them to a lab they might have gotten some evidence like hairs or something. If they wanted something for the dogs to smell why not get something out of the dirty clothes like the top that Haleigh was wearing earlier? A scent is a scent. I wonder how many cases like this LE has worked? I can't remember if they called other LE in to help or not. I wish the FBI was handling this case. Maybe Haleigh would have been found. I also wonder if she will ever be found. Unless someone has her in another state and they are waiting to go join her....at a time when no one will take notice...I just wonder if we will ever know what happened to her. It's really frustrating that she hasn't been found. Someone took her and they vanished into thin air. I still think that someone has her tucked away somewhere.....I also think it was someone that she knew that came in and took her. I hope this is so and that she is still alive. Crystal was taking pic's of Haleigh's face and really making a fuss about it before she even knew all of the facts. Maybe she decided that Haleigh wasn't going to stay with Ron any longer and arranged to have her taken. Then she goes national and says she is going for custody of RJ but not Haleigh. Just seems kind of strange to me.

It appears both Ron and Crystal believe Haleigh is gone as does most of the family.

Too much time has passed for anything else. She needs medical care and would be a handful to deal with. No stranger or distant relative would put up with this. $35,000 should make anyone talk who had knowlege and wasn't involved....yet nothing. Tells me this is an inside job and a reward is going to go unclaimed.

Wishful thinking on many people's parts....can't blame them though!

I think Haleigh needed medical care too. Unfortunately, I don't think she is alive. I think that critical mistakes were made in the very eve of Haleigh's disappearance. It hurts and it's a sad thing but, I really feel there is still hope for this case. They might not ever find Haleigh's body, (I am sorry if i offend anyone with that statement, I know it is very sad) but I believe that the case can be solved. With the right investigators working on it and the proper authorities, I suggest a complete outsider that has not formed an opinion already about the players or town of satsuma. Fresh eyes!

It has been widely speculated that the Missing Item from Haleigh's room is a breathing machine or inhaler but I think this through off LE. Because GGS may have thought it SHOULD be there for her, but what if it wasn't there to begin with? What if that night, she left it at Tyler St or at one of the Grandma's. They thought it was someone connected to family because why would a stranger or SO take something to keep her alive? I am not sure it was where it should have been in the first place, so GGS thought it was missing because someone took it along with Haleigh. So if that was the case, it would give us the wrong impression from the start. The whole family is keeping quiet so if it turned up, no one would say at this point. We can only speculate on this missing item.

What is wrong with Haleigh that she would become a handful without her meds? I don't remember the disease she has having anything to do with her behavior but them maybe I missed it.

IIRC TN said she didn't take any medications. Not on a regular basis anyway, aside from acute care and emergencies.

IIRC there was discussion that Turner's effected the ability to recognize other people's emotions and facial expressions. In other words, she didn't know when someone was getting mad or upset. I think there was thread for Turners.

I don't believe the meds and her behavior are related - other than that the need for the meds and the behavior are both complications of Turner's.

IIRC, the meds are to assist with various medical complications associated with Turners. For example, Haleigh had some breathing issues at times. And, IIRC, kidney and/or urinary tract complications. Very importantly, at some point, Haleigh would need to begin hormone injections to promote growth.

I don't think the behavorial issues associated with Turner's are treated with meds. Bern is right, there is a thread on Turner's and it's very interesting.

The bottom line is that Turner's is a medical condition that needs fairly close monitoring and, at times, medical intervention. That intervention includes periodic, scheduled injections at certain ages. It is also a condition that can affect a child's behavior in a negative way. Whoever would take Haleigh, would need to cope with all the complications Turner's produces.

Bern - ITA!!!!!

not only WHY would a stranger take the breathing machine, but how would they know to take it, it could have been for anyone in the home.

I must have missed the part about the sheets and LE putting them outside? That and letting TN and whoever else in the home was also a critical mistake.

I do trust the dogs if they are police trained...

So did Haleigh have a recurring problem with bed-wetting?

I never understood why only her blanket was washed and not her sheets..
