On the evening of December 12, 2003, 23-year-old Becky Marzo went out with friends to a local club in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. While at the club, her phone kept ringing, and her boyfriend was angry. He wanted her to come home, but Becky wanted to spend the night with her friends, so she turned off her phone. One of her friends asked if she wanted to go home, but Becky said she wanted to stay. When her friend dropped Becky off later that night at the home she shared with her boyfriend, no one knew they’d never see Becky again. Nearly 20 years later, her friends and family are still looking for answers about what happened to the young woman who has missed out on her entire life and those of the ones she loved most.

If you have any information about the disappearance of Becky Marzo, please call the Milwaukee Police Department- Sensitive Crimes Division at (414) 935-7405.

Becky Marzo was last seen in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in the late evening hours of December 12th, 2003.

Becky is a white woman, 5’1”-5’3”, and 120 pounds. She has blond/strawberry hair and blue eyes. She has a scar on her left wrist from a dog bite and scarring in both ears from tubes. The night of her disappearance, she had been at a bar called Conversations in the 3500 block of West Villard Avenue. Her live-in boyfriend, Carl A. Rodgers III, called her on her cell phone several times wanting her to come home, but Becky said she wasn’t ready yet. They argued and Becky eventually turned her phone off.

Becky’s friend later dropped her off at her residence in the vicinity of the 3100 block of North 5th Street. Her friend indicated that Becky went inside, turned on the light, and waved to her from the window. Becky has never been seen or heard from again.

Becky’s mother was alarmed when Becky’s grandfather died and her brother had an accident and she still hadn't heard from Becky. She made several attempts to report her daughter missing. Police didn't accept the report until June of 2004.

Her mother indicated that Becky's boyfriend, Carl had abused her frequently and severely beat her at least once. He had broken her nose, pulled her hair, and she was choked. He has a prior criminal record for weapons and domestic disorderly conduct charges. Because of her relationship with Carl, Becky became estranged with her family, after they told her that they wouldn’t see her until she left him. Her coworkers at Target indicated that she was frequently bruised and seemed depressed.

Becky had filed charges against Carl for domestic violence. She then moved to Florida, where she stayed for two months. When she returned to Wisconsin and resumed dating Carl. Becky failed to appear in court about the charges that she had filed against him and they were dropped as a result, just three days before she disappeared.

Becky was attending college and had nearly completed the coursework for an accounting degree at the time of her disappearance. She left behind a $500 paycheck that had not been cashed. Since Becky’s disappearance, her driver’s license has expired and there’s been no activity on her credit cards. It is possible that she may have traveled to Miami, Florida after her disappearance.

In October 2007, Carl Rodgers III died by suicide. He had been awaiting trial on charges of sexually assaulting another girlfriend at the time of his death. Carl had not been cooperative with police in Becky’s disappearance and her family believes he may have been involved. Carl left behind a note in which he indicated that he had never raped or killed anyone.

Her case remains unsolved and foul play is suspected.
Becky was 23 years old when she went missing. She would be 42 years old today.

Details of Disappearance:

Becky had pressed charges against him previously.

Co-workers at a Milwaukee Target store where Marzo worked later told her mother that she suffered beatings from her boyfriend and often came to work bruised and depressed. The death of Marzo’s grandfather and a brother’s accident occurred with no word from her.

They dug up a grave and her old front lawn, no body.

Well, I suggested it to the up’s case manager, let’s hope something comes of it

I’ve been communicating with Milwaukee police and sent them this possible match, as well as Illinois state police.
