Good morning! The thread is open for discussion.

Yay, Good Morning Harmony!

I took notes overnight for 7 hours while catching up so I didn’t forget any thoughts but now I’m too cross eyed and tired to post! After a nap...

Maybe today be the day that Jayme is found ALIVE!

Hannah Anderson was found on day 7, iirc.

Haven't read through many pages here, but has anything along the lines of road rage come up? Not sure if they've stated when anyone got home that night.

We also don't know if either person was having an affair. The kicking in of the door I could see from that aspect.
This is my theory and has been from the get go. Someone followed the dad home after having some sort of drug fueled road rage incident. Why take her? They didn’t have but a few minutes to get out of there after the 911 call. They took her as a hostage/shield in case they ran into the cops on the way out. I’m not optimistic she’s alive and I really hope I’m wrong.

The Latest: Barron County Sheriff says progress is being made in investigation
I want to reiterate to the public that I am committed to releasing accurate, credible information in a timely fashion to the public. We know bringing Jayme home is your highest priority too. It’s important to understand that our investigation progresses, we are constantly learning new information that guides our progress. This can cause some confusion when the information comes from an outside source. I am the only source of credible information related to this investigation and I will update the public each day, just as I have since this investigation began.

I read an article from a Georgia news station that the search has been expanded to be on the lookout throughout Georgia. It was unclear whether the expansion was just part of the nationwide expansion or if there was specific reason to believe she is in Georgia. Do the Closs’ have ties to Georgia?

Additionally from the above link:

“Lastly, we want to send our heartfelt thanks to the citizens of Barron County for the outpouring of support and gratitude for those investigators working so hard to bring Jayme home. It’s been brought to my attention that we have received thank you cards from the community. I’ve directed those cards to be placed in the area that investigators pass through to grab food and pop when they have a few minutes in between covering leads, interviews, and analysis of an incredible amount of information. This way, I can ensure that those investigators working around the clock are sure to see them.“

Good morning @Suglo. I mentioned that (half seriously) a few threads ago, but really believe it is definitely is a strong possibility. People do drive around with guns ready in their vehicles these days. And they can become seriously enraged over the smallest incident.

I, too, hope she is still alive and they find her soon.

He's literally dead, how is he going to repay the debt even if Jayme is kidnapped? I don't think loan sharks intervene in probate court.
Only scenario I can think of here is it wasn't their debt. Someone could be killed to send a message to the person or persons who really owe the money.
Too many gangster movies for me?

Good morning! I mentioned the Bo Kirk road rage murder from two years ago a while back also. The perps grabbed him from his driveway and I always believed he half let them so they wouldn’t enter his house where his wife and daughters were. I am sure that would have also been a blood bath had he tried to run into his house.
I try not to react when I come across angry drivers anymore. There have been too many cases of people being killed for flashing their lights or inadvertently cutting someone off. It’s just nuts :(

Ugh this just gave me the chills. When I looked up James Closs, a Georgia phone number came up as associated to him. Albany, GA. Mobile number. He hasn’t lived there from what I can see, so I chalked it up to a metadata mistake in the program, but...

I could see shooting one adult into intimidating the other to give you money. But what good is it if both are dead? Now you still don’t have the money and you’re a wanted man to boot.

So I started thinking about why LE was so interested in the casino. They were looking into checking it out on day 1. I am thinking the reason was because dad owed somebody a lot of money in gambling debts that might have not been repayed. MOO I wanted to be an FBI agent but am too old:)
I went down a similar path a few threads back because the casino seemed to keep coming up in relation to this investigation. It was either debt or winnings related in my mind. I have since come to believe it was related mainly to the security cameras provided by this facility. Casinos are normally very heavily "camera'ed up" and it makes a bit more sense then heavy handed loan shark thugs. jmo

On here, we are probably all aspiring FBI agents...at least crime solving is a big interest to us. Sleuthing takes us in many directions. IMO that's what it's about. Keep on keeping at it.

My point was semi-facetious. However, if another family member was the one with the debt...or if someone was seeking revenge on another family member, Denise and James could have been targeted. Obviously seriously jmo.

The one thing I noticed when reading over some of the articles when the thread was closed and the Sheriff is adamant that Jayme is no runaway. So she was taken against her will and that is why she in grave danger.

I think they know this because they have been able to enhance the 911 call. The same way they know she was inside as her parents were being murdered.

I realize many theories abound before any case is solved.

However I do not think there has been any hint of evidence her father was somehow to blame for this happening to him and his family. Small towns love to gossip yet no one has said anything untoward against either one.

I have seen those same theories in the past when a parent or parents are found murdered and their child or children missing.

Blaming one parent or both seems to be rather common in cases like this. Steve Greone went through it himself for weeks on end and other missing child cases.

I havent read anything that suggests this father even gambled much less had a debt that would result in this happening.

Perhaps if someone could show me an actual case where parents were murdered and their child kidnapped because of gambling debts or even for revenge etc I could understand those theories much better. I am open minded to any theory where the same set of circumstances have happened before where the motive of the killer became known once arrested.

Some seem to believe it just couldn't be a case of pedophile predator who may have cased their home out and was perfectly capable of murdering others in order to get the prey he had specifically targeted. I find that puzzling because this same thing has happened before.

As more photos of Jayme are shown she is a very tiny little girl who doesnt even look 13. I think if spotted someone would think she was younger.

The most reasonable conclusion for me is Jayme was the specific intended target and her parents were eliminated because they posed a threat and stood in the way of him taking Jayme.

Not one person has said Jayme was abused by anyone much less by her parents...either one. So there is nothing to me that supports whoever this is was trying to save her from anything.

In fact to me taking Jayme shows he wanted as much time as he wanted after taking her ...to sexually abuse her repeatedly with no one around to stop him.

Jmo though

He’d still have to kill her anyway, especially if he took her.

If someone sees too much, you kill them on the spot. You don’t go through the risk of kidnapping them to simply kill them at another location.

Generally.

BBM.

Your summation of “generally” is one of the most astute observations I’ve seen on WS. Sadly.
