I haven't seen any reports about what her teachers and friends are saying. I did notice that she participates in many extra-curricular activities such as track, cross-country, dance...

Yes. She is outgoing and her extracurricular activities put her out and about where others are watching her. Could be someone from one of those circumstances decided to take her. I wonder if there is any indication of a struggle in the home or on the bodies.

Fitzgerald said they were killed by gunshots and their teenage daughter is not a suspect. He said finding Jayme is the department’s main focus right now. Fitzgerald said they believe she is in danger and is likely scared. He called the home a “violent crime scene.”

According to Fitzgerald, deputies had never been called to the parent’s house before.

NEW: AMBER Alert issued for missing teen after parents found shot to death

I grew up in and graduated from high school in Barron, It is a very quiet area. When I lived there, there wasn't a lot of crime there -- mostly a lot of DUI-related and bad checks (they post the crime blotter in the Barron News-Shield each week) -- though it seems as if drugs have moved in the area pretty quickly and now there are more drug-related crimes.

The area is a quiet area. I know it is cliche to say, but "things like this, don't happen here." really fits. Barron is an extremely small town. My graduating class had just over 100 people and that is people from other unincorporated townships and even smaller towns being bussed in. It's grown some since then.

Factory or farm is how most families made a living. We had to drive to Rice Lake (another small town, but much bigger than Barron) to go to a movie or bowling alley or mall. Eau Claire and Menomonie were the closest cities near us.

A lot of things revolve around church or athletics or the community center, as there really wasn't a lot to do around there.

I have some theories so far.
This is in no certain order at this time.
1. Co-worker of dad killed the parents and took Jayme
2. Observer from her extracurricular activities where she is noticeable killed the parents and took Jayme
3. Online communication found out where Jayme lived, killed the parents and took Jayme
4. Dad or older brother of a friend killed the parents and took Jayme
5. Jayme witnessed the murders of her parents and is hiding somewhere scared to death to come out.

They just issued an Amber Alert for her, stating that Jayme was taken from her home:

UPDATE (WKOW) — An Amber Alert has now been issued for 13-year-old Jayme L. Closs of Barron County.

The Amber Alert says Closs was taken from her residence early Monday morning by an unknown person, likely with a gun. No suspect or vehicle information is known at this time.

Police say Closs’ parents were found dead Monday morning.

I’ve got family in a neighboring town, and am familiar with the Barron area.

Barron is the county seat of Barron County, but the largest city in the county is Rice Lake, which is only about 15 minutes away. Rice Lake is where one would go if they needed to go to Walmart or Kohl’s. Barron does have a decent hospital, and it’s is part of the Mayo Clinic Health System.

The city of Barron’s main employer is Jennie-O, which is right in town, off of Highway 8. Jennie-O is actually the largest employer in Barron County.

Trying to think what other information I can share about the area. Highway 8 is heavily traveled between Highway 63 (west of Turtle Lake, goes past a big casino for the area) and Highway 53 (just west of Cameron). Barron is between this stretch of Highway 8.

I'm so glad they were able to get an Amber Alert issued even though there is no suspect nor vehicle information. This is a situation where exceptions to the rules need to be made and I'm glad they did that.

Would it be safe to say that a suspect had to have taken her away from the house in a vehicle? Are there any cameras in the area a car would have to drive past to get to and from the house?

ETA: Here's the address again: Google Maps

The only cameras I can think would be the ones actually in town (Barron, Cameron, Rice Lake) at a convenience store, hospital, etc. This is a really rural area and there are a lot of back, country roads one could travel if they wanted to avoid town.
