Wonder what WS would have done if Jason Momoa was the presenter & joke teller.

Someone on another forum opined this situation would have evolved quite differently had it been 6'5", 260 lb The Rock on that stage rather than 5'10", 170 lb Chris Rock.@Laughing
It’s as if some folks will come up with anything to justify wrong doing as if that makes it OK.

I am glad CR & WS are the same race I can’t imagine where this would be if not.

Ha! I was about to post that exact same thing… a bunch of Malarky!
Has anyone seen the apology from Jada for laughing after Chris was physically assaulted by her husband? A few other people laughed too but they thought it was a part of the show. She knew it wasn't, so why was she laughing? Surely she must have apologized for her tacky, no class behavior. I just can't seem to find the apology anywhere. (and never will).Has anyone seen the apology to Jada that Chris has offered?

It's not really customary for comedians to send out letters of apology to every actor, politician, government official or public figure they poke fun at in their stand-up routines or late night talk shows.Has anyone seen the apology to Jada that Chris has offered?
It’s actually a name? I never realized.Should Irish and ethnically Irish people be insulted by this use of an Irish surname???
Our culture quietly accepts this slight of an entire group.
Won't be slapping anyone about it, that's for sure.
That's really interesting. In my 6 decades I've heard and read the term "malarkey" countless times, but always just thought it meant "nonsense" or "BS". Never knew it was a slur against the Irish.Should Irish and ethnically Irish people be insulted by this use of an Irish surname???

It's not really a thing.

President Biden uses that word a lot. And he's Irish himself.
Chinese whispers. The term stems from a time when it was just fine to state or imply that Irish people weren't honest.
Have you heard a person refer to being cheated, or getting a really bad deal as "gypped?" That's a slur against ethnic Gypsy's.
How about "Indian giver?"
Welsh on a bet?
Get off Scot-free? That's actually a tax term from German, oddly enough.
English is such an interesting thing!

Rebel Wilson's Crack About Will and Jada Pinkett Smith Relationship Returns

On March 13, Wilson hosted the British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) in London, where Smith won the Leading Actor award for his performance in King Richard—the same film that won him the Best Actor Oscar on Sunday.
…
In the resurfaced clip of Wilson at the BAFTAs—posted to Reddit's "Facepalm" forum where it has received more than 16,000 votes—she joked that despite Smith's award for King Richard, she believed "his best performance in the past year has been being okay with all of his wife's boyfriends."
Rebel Wilson's crack about Will and Jada Pinkett Smith relationship returns
One day a few weeks ago I was scrolling thru the channels and happened upon an interview of Will Smith. Can't recall who interviewed him. In any event, the interviewer said something to the effect of that you are okay with infidelity ( on the part of your wife), at which point Smith, who did not like the question said something like - infidelity? there is no infidelity or something like that. It was a totally absurd response.
