I just heard about this KA case for the first time recently, via the Yahoo article.
Though I know that in some cases people just "skip town" & leave their old life behind for various reasons (bad relationship(s), financial issues/debt, etc.) - I suspect this didn't happen here. KA had jobs & a life - and I also don't believe she would have left her dog behind.
Given that KA was last seen in a casino parking lot, I wonder if her disappearance has anything to do with a criminal going after her re: any possible $ she may have won while there?! I suspect that criminals/thieves would especially target people in casino parking lots late at night - especially if they're alone.
If not foul play, another plausible explanation is that she was tired when driving home/to another casino late at night, and ended up in a body of water somewhere. I remember reading about two cold cases like this that they uncovered in late 2021; so, apparently this happens more often than we think.
In fact, I lean towards an accidental death being the most plausible reason for her disappearance - given that her credit cards weren't used after she vanished; no calls were made from her cellphone; and, also her vehicle still hasn't been found. Granted, all three of those elements taken individually don't mean that she wasn't the victim of foul play. However, I think that the three combined make it more credible that this was an accident.
Hopefully the truth will come out at some point.
