400-lb farm pig in Aurora, CO roams the city for three days
Fred the pig caught after mischief rampage
After numerous complaints of mischief in the city of Aurora, a 400lb (181kg) culprit has finally been caught loitering outside a shopping centre.

Officials say Fred, who dodged them for several days, is "always hungry" and "loves his belly scratches".

Aurora Animal Services knew they were looking for a pig, they were surprised at just how big he was.

It took about eight people and five hours to capture him. They now hope to find his forever home.

Never leave anything you don’t want stolen inside a parked car in Center City Philadelphia. Just steps from Pennsylvania Convention Center at 10th & Cherry Streets, woman had purse & backpack stolen after car window smashed by man & his lookout. Credit cards then used at Walmart

Upon picking up the creature, she was immediately struck by the venomous spurs on his hind legs, injecting 'excruciating' venom into either side of her right hand.

Only male platypuses are armed with spurs, usually used to ward off others during mating season and to defend themselves when being attacked.

They are the only mammal that produces venom, and while not strong enough to kill a human, it causes horrific pain and swelling.

The result was an annular eclipse, also known as a "Ring of Fire" eclipse for the thin band of the sun that remained visible around the moon. People across the town and surrounding area cheered and peered through specialized solar-viewing glasses, telescopes and camera equipment. The air chilled and the landscape slightly dimmed, having lost nearly all of the sun's rays.
