What he states, and what is true are two different things. And wasn't he "wearing a yellow bag" when he washed up on shore? Is this where he got the "idea" that Lynette had a yellow bag on her person. At least he may be telling partial truths -- or not.

So, from what I can tell, David Wesley Prevatte finally heads to trial on Monday, September 28, 2026, for the murder of little Paitin Fields. Let's hope.
He will remain incarcerated until his trial date, unless he can come up with a million dollars for his bond.
