I truly believe that they waited for Hanna to have the baby for the very reason you stated, they had no intention of killing a baby. If they killed a pregnant woman, they kill the baby too. I think they intentionally waited until she had the baby so that they didn't kill anyone who didn't "need"...

Crime scene tape is on the very outside of the property before the driveway starts, so you don't see it in that pic where the photographer zoomed in on the actual property.

Here is an aerial where you can tell sort of how far apart they are. They're still quite close, but not as close as that pic makes it look.

The lights look more like a Lumina than Cavalier to me. But alas, there's really no way of knowing. The Lumina is connected to the deaths from what reports say and maybe we'll never know who it belonged to and what role it may have played.
