Thank you CP, for this post (and the one before this). I have thought many of the things you posted...You have a wonderful way of expressing your thoughts.
I have been reading WS for quite some time (different thread), but never felt compelled to join the group until this happened. When I saw...
RSBM (I hope I did that correctly)...
I don't think we could know that either, but I wish we could...
I think its been stated that he got to Kildare's around 1 a.m. (Someone please correct me if I'm wrong).
So, he was there barely an hour before getting asked to leave. I wonder how many bars...
In the article, it states that ["tragic accident" is too common a mindset--one that can cause tunnel vision.]
The above statement is exactly why this forum is so great. There are so many ideas and thoughts shared on here, that it is nearly impossible to have tunnel vision.
Though it is...
Jonesy, You are not alone with those thoughts. Many questions keep running through my head too. I keep asking all of those people at the bar/leaving the bar/heading to the parking lot...how could no one have seen him?
Yes, that is when they found the video, but I think there was something else too.
At one point, the family did let media know that they would keep them updated, but did ask the media to take a step back. Understandably so...a bunch of reporters around constantly would be difficult to deal...
Thanks Always! That's what they said directly which is why I quoted...but, sadly, I agree completely with you. I think it's been so long there might not be any other signs.
For those of you not on Facebook (or, if you are and want to join), Friday night (January 9) at 7:00 p.m. there is a Light Up The Night For Shane event. The organizer says "light a candle to remember and honor this young man and his family".
I imagine there will be many, many candles burning.
I don't know who makes that call either, Helplessly....but maybe someone on this board will.
I just hope Shane's family gets any answers they need. Sadly, I know answers still won't bring their beloved son back, but hopefully they will get them.
The news states that the ME will identify Shane on Monday. My question is (pardon my lack of knowledge with this) if that won't be done until Monday, does that mean they won't begin the autopsy until Monday?
If so, would anything happen to his body in the next day or so that would make it more...
In case anyone is interested, here is a diver being interviewed today.
It's a bit difficult to hear. Amazing what these people do...

I noticed this as well. I was waiting to see New Year's Eve photos posted on their page, but they seem to have stopped posting photos from their "weekends" and events.
Also, many kids now use Snapchat. Pictures and such, but they are deleted after 10 seconds. My kids are 21 and 17 and...
I know a couple of you have mentioned about the "retweets" on Shane's Twitter account on 11/29.
Has everyone chalked it up to him being "logged in" and someone who had access to his computer/device (other than his phone)just "retweeted"? This is one thing that has always seemed strange to...
This is EXACTLY the way I have been feeling. So much back and forth, I confuse myself! When the story first happened, I was of the foul play theory. I continued to feel that way for quite some time, especially with Kildare's different statements.
Then, I became more of the accident theory...
