Found Deceased MI - Jody Dean Howe, 58, Meijer store, Marquette, 23 Aug 2019

I am a local and nothing has been said regarding his car. There are a lot of (uncomfirmed) rumors but there are people the police are watching carefully and, as I know the area where he was found ( i grew up a few miles from there), I can say that the only way anyone would think to look there is...

    Michigan - Coronavirus COVID-19

Hancock is a very small town just across the bridge from Houghton. Houghton has seen an uptick in cases, so while all the numbers are low right now, I dont know how long that will last. Houghton has Michigan Tech University who has students from all over the US and the world. Should students...

MI MI - Anna Allen, 39, St Ignace, 4 Feb 1980

wow. I never heard of this case. Granted I was five in 198o, but St Ignace isn't too far from where I grew up. Not to be critical of the UP, but we don't have a great track record of solving murders and missing person cases. So sad for her family and friends-to wonder and worry all these years...

    Michigan - Coronavirus COVID-19

that's my concern also. It puts employees at risk for increased stress levels in jobs that are already low pay/high risk. I can't imagine working at a minimum wage service job and having the added stress of having to confront patrons who are not wearing a mask. Clearly if they come in to a...

    Michigan - Coronavirus COVID-19

I wonder if people will comply? I just came back from the small store downtown (and this is a very very small town) and I was the only patron with a mask on.

    Michigan - Coronavirus COVID-19

the local news up here reported this morning that she will not be changing the UP coronavirus level so we will stay at level 5. not sure how i feel about this given the increase in cases and that the school opening guidelines contain no required safety measures (only recommended ones) for level...

    Michigan - Coronavirus COVID-19

I am watching the daily updates with a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach. The UP cases are racking up rapidly and, while the numbers are so "low" compared to downstate they are higher than they have been since the safer at home order in March. We had so many days up here with no cases...

New leads give hope for closure in Paul Girard homicide | WJMN - UPMatters.com This is the most recent update published locally...... " “I know the players involved, I know the ins and outs. The follow up investigation I have done has led me to believe that I’m looking at a solid suspect.”...

Found Deceased ID - Joshua Vallow, 7, & Tylee Ryan, 17, Rexburg, Sept 2019 *mom arrested* #44

My son has Autism and ADHD. At one time he was prescribed Risperidone to help him sleep. He wasn't on it long before I asked for an alternative. He was almost zombie-like on the Risperidone and I didn't think the extra sleep he got from it was worth the side effects.

Found Deceased ID - Joshua Vallow, 7, & Tylee Ryan, 17, Rexburg, Sept 2019 *mom arrested* #42

I am as curious and as in the dark as anyone on this, but having a son with autism the "picky eating" aspect of ASD is so much more than what is typically thought of as "picky eating." My son is now 12 and we are still dealing with about three or four foods that he will eat. His number one...

    Michigan - Coronavirus COVID-19

Yooper here. So far we have a handful of positive cases spread across the U.P. This has resulted in many people not taking the stay at home, stay safe order seriously. Fellow Michiganders, how are your respective communities responding to the order?
