CA - 13 victims, ages 2 to 29, shackled in home by parents, Perris, 15 Jan 2018 #11

On the CBS video he says "audio/visual statements". At the 2:15 min mark. Maybe these occurred after arrest.

Rickets is only reversible in young children. However the older kids were outside in Texas so I think they would not suffer from the most severe deformities. Any woman with rickets would find childbirth almost impossible without a Cesarian, so the younger girls might be at risk. If the vitamin...

Well, I'm not going to let him escape so easily! Did not the whole household follow his work schedule and slept through the day. Who did the beatings? And strangulations seem to be a particularly male thing. No, he added his own nastiness to this crime.

This is not directed to you, newsjunkie, but is just an observation. 'We' all seem happy to post and communicate any new photos on one hand but seem to condemn those who give them out. We can't have it both ways. We hope for new photos, I suspect, to reveal new clues about how the Turpins ran...

I have the exact same chain attached to my free standing stove which was installed by professionals but not my fridge. I live in Australia, no earthquakes at my location. However the chain on my stove is not as long as the one in the Turpin household. It seems a bit long to keep the fridge upright.

Also remember that 7 of these "children" are adults and of the remaining 6, most are teenagers. They would be beyond the need for toys. Edit: Although for these particular adults and teenagers who have been prevented from growing up by their monster parents, they may still appreciate some toy...

I found this blog post to be insightful. It was written by a woman who was isolated herself by her parents and covers the issues that she thinks will be problematic for the Turpin offspring...

A few things are going around in my head about this case. 1. DT and LT fed off each other. I think both are equally responsible for the torture, and supported each other in their insane ideas to control their children. I think LT specialised in the emotional torture and DL in the violence...

OMG! What a photo. The feature of this mugshot for me that marks him as a criminal is the sneer, the contemptuous upper lip. Here is a test to identify criminals from ordinary men. I scored 13/15 - I realised it was that lip I was looking at not the eyes that marked the criminals. Sometimes...

Who here thinks that the jury's deliberations will be shorter than the 4 and half hours the defence took to sum up their case? I wonder what the record time is for summing up in a UK court? Are we close to the record?
