I had read the article back in August when you posted it and it says he was originally investigated but released on lack of evidence until they traced the gun back to him. I consider that a lucky break because there was no gun registry and a person could buy them anywhere no question asked...

Frustrating yes ..... but in many ways this is a whole new investigation and rarely do police go public with what they have so far .... and if they do search back at all the places CH's lived or visited and then tried to link them to unsolved crimes it would be a long and tedious process...

That is a head scratcher .... a kickstand swings up and toward the back of the bike .... it will not swing forward. If it was in the down position and the bike was pushed backward into a curb or something it could bend , but a little girl is not normally that strong or aggressive to do...
