How did you arrive at April 2017? The article was published on Jan 4th 2017. It mentions 'through Dec 28'. These appear to be the statistics for the year of Jan-Dec 2016.

Kazakhstan is a country. Boston bomber (the younger) was born in Kyrgyzstan, which is another difficult to spell and pronounce country.

The bit that you highlighted is a direct quote from the photographer on the scene. They're obviously sharing their thoughts. How is that a "blatant lie"? It's their thoughts.

There's also a photo of a young white man who appears to be just walking by. Were they also complaining about that person or had that one somehow passed their smell test? Over-analysing photos which could have easily taken 1/250th of a second to shoot is not the way for a species to move forward.
