Re-watching the press conference; Sheriff was asked by reporter if Towns gave info to lead to vehicle/bodies, he said no, the discoveries were the result of search efforts. Vehicle was found first, then the bodies. I wonder if Towns is talking at all?

I think it's kinda sketchy for the news to report that (vehicle found in pond), when it actually has not been confirmed by the SO. Perhaps they have found evidence in the car that may or may not indicate the couple is alive, but is waiting to notify the family before the news/reporters.
