Right that was I was trying to get at too. Although some psychiatrists probably do some talk therapy, it's just less common because they would have to do quite a bit more schooling on top of medical school.

. Right! The two profressions definitely work together a lot of the time but I've never been to a psychiatrist that does therapy as well they each have their own distinct training/ schooling and skills. Social work is another area that works hand in hand but also is it's own area of expertise.
