I absolutely am NOT trying to validate this excuse, however, I really really really wish that parents realized the impact that there Childs childhood has on the rest of us, and that people would spend more time loving, caring and creating healthy humans that grow into healthy and happy adults.

This is such a tough situation, my husband and I talked about it, and it boils down to the old adage, "no good deed goes unpunished." If they had let him, then that would have set a precedence and every hard-luck or health situation they would have been fought on. It just stinks no matter how...

OMG sad, but SO TRUE! My husband and I were just talking about this. Or being a "hero" in a situation. Not worth it anymore, in this day and age it takes about 2 seconds for you to become the "story" and life as you know it is over. Things go from good to bad real quick.

I don't live in a "rural community", i live in a regular suburban neighborhood. There are SEVERAL community FB groups just within my neighborhood, and every body sells EVERYTHING. From cars to used SOCKS. who knows why they sell such stuff. Extra money i suppose, just like yard sales.

No, but maybe if family started calling each other to let know of the situation that had happened, and say they couldn't reach him, and he hasn't replied to texts or phone calls, that might prompt you that something was up, so you go check on him as well.

I'm sure its fine and that eventually I'll come to love it. But for now, NO i do not like it. But I don't take change well, of any kind, so don't take it personal. :)
