Out on lakes in the summer it is pretty much anything goes. That's the culture. Sure there are older couples who buy a boat for sunset cruises.. but plenty buy boats to party.. plenty.

The Des Moines Register is a HUGE part of this case and they have a conflict of interest in reporting it. Fact. They do not give a crap in my opinion. They are an elitist group concerned about their own image. Paper boy employees making peanuts that disappear on the job is not their desired image.

I did not think the documentary was very good. Nothing really new for those who follow it. Des Moines is burnt out on the story and The Des Moines Register doesn't aggressively cover it because two of their teenage employees vanished on the job. Is local LE on it? Doesn't seem like it.

They are popular convenience stores and in a town that size.. everyone probably goes there all the time.

I have only heard good things about him too. I have met him once. But no one on the outside really knows how well a place is doing. There is plenty of competition out there. I have heard that the slaying was brutal and very overdone. In my mind I just cannot rule out a hit with a motive.

Police depts are very solid on a day to day rank and file basis... but when high profile things happen the PD gets very very political and into a cover your rear mode. KCPD is NOT having a good year. It is the worst I have ever scene on spiking murder and ineffective responses fron PD.
