I think it's unfair to generalize Marines this way. Yes, your job might put you in a situation that would make you more likely to fight Someone but that doesn't mean that they're predisposed to be violent or a killer. If you are put in a situation where you would have to possibly fight for...

I don't understand why it's such a big deal that SBCSD is saying it's just a missing person case. If whoever did it doesn't feel like there is heat on them then they may be more apt to do something or say something suspicious. The second thing is I don't see what's wrong with them taking...

Sorry, I missed that. I guess last time I thought there was some confusion. I should have read more.

I agree. A large percentage of Marine Corps folks move around three years, sometimes less, sometimes more. The other thing is that if this is another Marine involved and he's close in age that would have made him a teenager living out there.

Huffington post has an article up stating that police did talk to the witnesses on June 30th and seemed to imply the info on the locate erin page was incorrect about police not knowing about them.

No, once you have permanent duty station orders, if you rate housing based on having a family, you are able regardless of rank.

I used to live and work on the base. I guess it's a matter of personal preference but I always found I could get off quicker the other way.

Having lived close to that spot, out the main gate and a right on Indian. You can skip most of the lights on 62 that way. If you're going out condor gate you are kind of going out of your way to get back to the same point if you just left from the main gate. There are some people that are not...

There are few true subdivisions in 29. Even the ones you might call a subdivision look nothing like what most people think of them. There are lots of roads that are marked that are pretty desolate. Sometimes you have to use those roads to turn onto other ones that have houses though so they...

Possible but when the bus comes onto base it enters the main gate and every id is checked so you'd have a good chance of a gate sentry rembering you.

If you lived in the area you would find it's really not that weird to go to the park alone. It's less then ten miles from base, almost impossible to get lost going and if you're just pulling into the marked sites on the park it's really not sketchy at all. You see lots of people that are...

That may not be true but the problem is when you call military police you usually speak to the desk sgt. which is usually a lcpl or cpl on duty, the problem is that the answer you get is not always consistent depending no who's working the desk on a given night.

It really depends on what's going on. There was an incident in 1991 that involved two local girls being murdered, raped etc. in town by a Marine and the military was heavily involved in that investigation even though it happened in town but there have been an equal amount of times that local...
